There is no way MS would let EA in on their launch event this much unless they had something big exclusive. Also EA pulling out of Wii U is interesting timing.

Battlefield looks hot, but only game I really want from EA is Respawn's Titan. I prefer Sci-fi over military FPS.

If MS gets next-Gen exclusives on Titan and CoD or Battlefield then there isn't much else the next Xbox needs to outsell PS4.

The picture that is becoming clear is how much bigger and more popular the franchises are that MS is debuting for next-generation compared to Sony's event.

That's the advantage of having deep pockets. Plus, I seriously doubt the PS4 would outsell the next Xbox given Sony current status. However, as a gamer, I wish they remain competitive, enjoy considerable marketshare and profitability, and continue pushing those raw first party talents of theirs to my satisfaction.

If anyone thinks COD or BF would be exclusive to either console as far as next-gen is concerned is smoking some good weed. I would give the chance of that happening for either console a -100% possibility.

But I fully expect the EXCLUSIVE 4 HOUR DLC announcements left and right.

Microsoft buys EA and together they release an all-American console. All this was prepared by Mattrick and Moore. It will block used games, will be always online, a fusion of xbox live and ea origin. To complete the package you can buy a stars and stripes faceplate and the power on sound will be the American anthem. They will show it tomorrow when they will show Fifa and UFC.

if it play halo, i'm buying it

They are doing pretty good actually, imo. Revealing first, keeping the momentum, and having the last word at E3. They know it would have been difficult to go toe to toe with Microsoft if the latter initiated first, so they've been persistant in occupying the media space since late february. I see no fail here...

Was referring to the ads themselves...

Nobody did it better than Sega!

You don't really want to compare things like TLR with BF4, do you? ;)

Well no but looking back GTA was also timed exclusive on the PS2. I seriously doubt a full exclusive deal for Battlefield or Call Of Duty, it's just too expensive now. Look at how Agent simply vanished. There's too much marketshare to be lost by doing this for the publisher. Metal Gear Solid 4 made a lot more sense given a lot of sales will stem from Japan. A game like Battlefield sells very well on the Playstation so most I would consider being obtainable would be a timed exclusive deal but most likely just some dlc.

Will the NRA be supporting this too?

I feel left out that I'm the only one at work excited for this.

I'm the only gamer in our company. If I start talking about my 360, or my gaming rig, or my Vita....people's eyes glaze over or they just nod with blank looks.

They don't know much about tech or gaming...not even a little bit. :(

What a cop out to say "I'm just discussing the possibility" when that possibility is unlikely and ridiculous.
Yeah, you totally found us out. Literally everyone here believes that Microsoft is getting every EA game exclusive from now on. Also Call of Duty Ghosts as well. We all believe it. And you, the ingenious detective that you are.. found us out.

Will they put that many resources into keeping Sony at bay or will they focus more on the TV and Apple plus Google instead?

The mini Xbox 360 redesign could be more crucial to keeping Apple/Google at bay for now. Microsoft is in good position to control both the high and low end of the market. A $500 Xbox might not keep someone from buying an AppleTV, but a $150 Xbox with Kinect and SmartGlass might.

We can't overlook the importance of the Xbox 360 announcements this year. With 80 million consoles sold they have to keep that platform alive. If Apple and Google put pressure on them they can announce that they will make Xbox Live apps free Only on Xbox 360. Waive the pay wall for just the 360 if Apple puts any pressure.

Microsoft can also deliver most of its interactive video channels across both 360 and Durango which gives it exclusive content that Apple/Google/Sony don't have.
