A rumour has been posted on the first page of the GameFaqs Wii U messageboard that X will be titled Xenoform Episode I: Liber Novus. The poster has also contained a blurb on the games story. Please don't ban me. *hides*

I would post a link but I'm using mobile right now and the browser doesn't allow it. I just really hope I don't get banned for this.

Yeah...something tells me that's BS. Just a gut feeling.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo is going to go with a title similar to Xenoblade, even if the game have nothing in common story wise. They'd be stupid not to from a marketing standpoint.

Also that title is ridiculous, I doubt it's real. (on top of lolgamefaqs).

"Xenos" just means "strange" or "alien". Any game that contains anything strange or alien, or is in itself strange or alien, can get away with carrying "xeno" in its title.

Town-wise, I could definitely do without one like Frontier Village though. Running around that place actually gave me headaches.

Frontier Village was confusing at first but you get the hang of it and it looks alive and pretty. It's the best town in the game.

I'd prefer them to avoid one like Alcamoth. That place was just massive and barren. Finding people there was such a huge bore.

Agreed. It's easy to see why they designed it the way they did, but I don't really think it was "worth it," if that makes any sense.

Large towns/cities are fine, good even, just make them more dense than Alcamoth was.

Better quick travel points would have helped too, but that applies to several areas. It doesn't make much sense to have two landmarks within 30 seconds walking time of each other, but other areas have vast regions with no landmarks.

Last time I checked, this game was being developed by Monolith Soft, Not Square Enix.

Xenosaga.

Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht
Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse
Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra

Those aren't Latin though.

Look at this.. this looks beautiful without vibrant colors..

That was your first mistake.

can't wait.
Any confirmation about this game on the E3?

Soraya Saga tweeted the ND so that's pretty much confirming it will be there.

Yes, but he retweeted the Japanese tweet, no?

We know the content of each ND will differ slightly. There is always a chance it won't show up in the EU/US one, but show up in the Japanese one.

Wouldn't make much sense for Nintendo to only show it in Japan since they need to push everything they've got. But even if it were only on the Japanese one a trailer is a trailer.

Well, maybe not. But they did say they would be focusing on games releasing for the Japanese market in the E3 Direct, so I can only assume there will be some different content, whether it's X, or something else.

Nintendo have no reason not to show it in both directs. Like chaosblade already said, they need to show us everything they've got. Limiting X to just one direct would be absolutely foolish.

She also retweeted just the Japanese Nintendo Direct announcement the day before X was revealed, and that was worldwide. Who knows. Xenoblade didn't sell amazingly well, but it's extremely well regarded all over the world, and the X reveal generated a lot of buzz globally - I'm sure Nintendo is very well aware of that.

Whether or not it is foolish, I'm just pointing out it is a possibility.

I do think they will probably show it in the West, but it may depend on how far away its release there is.

It's possible she just retweeted the tweet she saw or found first and there's no politics or localization announcements in it at all and it's just a simple retweet.

You're right, it is a possibility.

She was also asked on twitter whether there was any chance of seeing X at E3 and she replied with: I cannot comment on that ;)

The winky face gives us hope!

I vaguely remember an interview from back in 2012 I believe, in which Takahashi stated that Xenoblade was more or less an experiment for and a fraction of what he truly wanted to create: A world. Or something like this at least. So...

What if X is no JRPG in a traditional sense, but really more of a huge, constantly evolving sandbox? You get a world, a set of rules, a selection of toys to play with, things to do and things to fight, some major and minor plots, multiplayer if that's your thing or if playing solo gets stale, and Monolith will constantly add to the game and change things via SpotPass, or add whole new areas, new major plot lines and new rules via DLC? A "true" single player MMO, basically - where you can leave a mark because the game doesn't have to account for other players?

i don't think it'd need to be a sandbox. i can't spot many reasons at all from that video why it would need to be one. i'm a big fan of the concept of a single-player MMO though. i've been wanting one for a long time. the sandbox nature would get in the way of what i think would be very important functionality in something like this - i've been wanting to see an MMO where there are no absolute servers and players are queued randomly to join your game. you walk into a city and it draws a handful of players into your game. that way it is much more personal. instead of having so many people on the screen that you just ignore all of them, you're only given a handful. it could draw them based on age, level, major story progress. playing FFXI taught me that social aspects work best when they're forced onto the players. xenoblade always felt very inspired by FFXI as well, so maybe they see that or have heard about that as well. if it was a sandbox, functionality like that i don't think could work.

if they go that route, i don't care so much about having a major story. seeing such a concept in practice would be good enough for me.

Saw this too.

I don't believe it for a second. Look how using the funny names of philosophical works as subtitles worked out the last time. :p

God, I can't wait for some concrete information. Watching that mecha GIF over and over again for months is driving me crazy.

"Become what you (always dreamed to be) feign to be!" - Baten Kaitos, anyone? :p

E3 can't arrive soon enough. I've watched the trailer so many times and as amazing as it is, I'm totally burnt out on it now. We need something new!

Sounds so ridiculous it might be true.

I just hope it's not an MMO. Online is okay, as long as there's a story mode I can play on my own.

I've played Xenoblade but it's been awhile and I've forgotten many plot points. What significance does this have again?

She survives, as we know, and shulk and fiora start a life together in a new world. This character in the trailer may be their son.
