On the third party side...well, @RichatESA is a senior VP at the ESA, which represents publishers in the US.

They may defend it, but there job is to post on stories. This is definitely a story that others have picked up on.

Agreed, what Klepek said about publishers wanting this is a good point. Since Sony isn't all dominant (this is a good thing because we want competition), they can't really force publishers' hands alone.
