enlighten me,

reviews reads like a shooter, but more like something out of europe than AAAmerica.

It is a third person shooter but I don't see your point...thats just a genre within video games just like jrpgs, platformers etc.

I actually just watched it for the first time about 2 months ago.

I fucking loved it. Easily in my top 5 now.

I don't think I've seen it in 20 years. The only scene I really remember is the one with the dinner table. Loved the camera angles, I think I was too young at the time to appreciate much of the plot.

Reading the Destructoid and SixthAxis reviews now. Good stuff.

Seems like you are trying to change the system but it isn't changing with you. It would be nice if everyone used the whole scale but that definitely isn't the case at Gamespot. Personally when I go to a site, a score means nothing on its own. I evaluate it relative to scores from other games, especially those I've played. And when I do that I expect a level of consistency so I know what to expect. Seems like you are reviewing on a totally different scale to everybody else at Gamespot, and that is where people are raising their eyebrows with your reviews

And with Dance Central 3, a vastly different type of game. I haven't played it, but DC3 could be a damn good dance game, and deserving of a high score when judged on it's own merits. Comparing it's score to The Last of Us's makes no sense.

IGN.com brought me to IGN.nl so I couldn't copy the link of the original review, had to use a proxy to reach the US site, but yes I was more concered updating the 10/10 links because the reviews are ordered from highest to lowest, and Polygon is at the bottom.
