No you don't. IF2 and LBP2 left the service and got replaced by Xcom and Uncharted 3

You can still get some of the vita games for free and XCOM, uncharted 3, saints row are still free since it's still june. But things like sleeping dogs and all that other stuff are over.

Yup, having been there since Day 1 my backlog is pretty crazy. I could easily stop buying games at this point and just continue with a PS+ sub for the next few years. I buy lots of games anyway.

It's truly fucking crazy that anyone would think that PS+ isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread. So many games I would have never gotten the chance to play that I just ended up downloading and playing one day.

Me too, but of course it'll take some time to get there, they can't give away that many games close after launch.

It's a year long title AFAIK so you have plenty of time to jump in. I'd recommend sooner than later though.

I think, in the future (at least for a year), we'll have this monthly:

1 PS4 game
2 PS3 game (hopefully one of them PS4/PS3)
2 PSVita games

That's 60 games for Year Two.

Those who ask about "unsub" or "rental" service... who could be so dumb for "unsub" from this great service? More even now when it's mandatory to play online on PS4?

Really? Is it the GoTY Edition of Uncharted 3? I have neither of those games, but I did have InFamous 2 and LBP2 which was why I wasn't so excited of the prospect of starting a sub.

Yeah, it's kinda frustrating because the longer I wait the more I don't want to sub. I mean I definitely want to, but after seeing everything I missed and this gen closing out I kinda don't want to. I'd definitely do it on PS4 though, since that's a fresh start.

You can play the games that get rotated out as long as you are a subscriber. You can't get the games that have rotated out when you have not been a member.

It's the singleplayer portion only since the multiplayer of UC3 went free to play. LBP Karting is also one of the new yearly rotaters (replacing Ratchet All 4 One).

I believe they stay on your download list... but you can't play them until you resub and there are also some games that expire within a year

I like that I always forget when games are rotating. I'll just check the store one night and *bam*, two or three more games that I want to play. Free(ish).

I keep adding every Vita game to my cart when they show up in anticipation of getting one at some point. I have like 12 games, but no Vita, yet, will buy one soon. And will immediately have a backlog/collection.

No it doesn't. You get the same amount of games as the rest of the people for the same amount of money. In fact the value supposedly increases in the future with PS4 titles and already has increased when the Vita titles were included.

The only way you can say something like that is if the quality of the service will drop off a cliff in the future compared to the first year but it's not like we first adopters knew what we were getting.

The right way to say it is the longer you are a subscriber the better the value is.

This is essentially it. The long term rental argument is so bizarre to me. Speaking about this in extremes, if I played all 64 games through buying them at gamestop (or even cheap on Amazon) I'd still be playing significantly more than $50.

This is a great service for me since I don't often (ever) play games more than once. So the long term rental aspect has never bothered me.

That's actually quite impresive. I'm still not sure whether I'll be able to stomach extra 50 euros added to PS4 RRP that seems to be a norm here. Hopefully it's like with Vita PS Plus games where you can "buy" them even if you don't own a Vita.

Considering the other Plus perks on PS3/Vita, this service keeps knocking it out of the park. Them discounts... those cloud saves...

I still think it's silly that you have to pay to receive discounts. They should be offering that to all users really (same with online mp soon). It's still better than xbox live gold at least.

I've been very impressed with the service (UK here though), but it does have the negative implication (for the industry I mean) of making me hold off on buying any b-tier release in the hope it'll just come for free a few months later.
