There was a PC or Mac game i played as a kid at school back in the late 80s or early 90s and i believe it was a platform/shooter and i could never figure out the name of it. I remember staying up all night a few years back trying to find it but never could. It wasn't any of the big named stuff like number munchers.

I want to say the main character had blonde hair but this was 20+ years ago so i don't remember much if anything. I do know that i would remember it if i saw a video, some screens or played it. Now i want to hunting for it again. BTW i don't even remember it being a learning game, i just remember playing it at school or maybe one of those rec centers for kids, the kind where you go when your parents are working. (don't know if every city/state has them or even if they have these places anymore)

PC Platform/Shooter with Blonde guy...

holy shit, thats it... i would of never thought it would be that since its a remake of a classic...
but the physics were awesome..

gonna have to DL that game again and check it out.

If you like the series I would really recommend digging up Battlezone 2. There;s still surprisingly active community around it and with fan-patches finding people to play online isn't any problem.

Help me, GAF!

I remember playing a game on PC, must have been around 97/98. You piloted a kind of black attack helicopter that flew around taking out targets on the ground and in the air. It was all 3D and the level I remember was all kind of grassy landscape at night, but otherwise I can't remember much.

Anyone know what the hell I'm on about?

Pretty sure I played the demo of this..it was on a PC Gamer demo disc...but I can't remember the name either :/

Hey GAF, I'm looking for a game I've played a lot. Well I played the demo a lot.

This is what I remember.

Platform: PC
Graphics: Isometric
Year: Probably mid 90's to early 00s?

It most likely a squad based game. I remember having 4-6 squad members. Here's the tricky part, I can't recall the genre. It most likely a point and click action game, but part of me is telling me it was some sort of strategy probably was turn based.

Anyway it was an isometric game (I'd say near if not better than Fallout in comparison). The level of the demo was set in a (modern) city and it seems it was taken over by aliens. There were tentacle coming out of the sewer holes an I remember that much. I think the enemies were some sort of aliens or demons.

Also I'm highly positive Sentinel Returns is how I got to play the demo. I have the Sentinel Returns CD, but sadly it is too scratch up to even be recognized.

Please help me GAF ;_;

Could be X-COM: Apocalypse.

There's this space ship game. It had 3D graphics and played from a top down perspective. Very slow, you had multiple ships and could upgrade them and stuff, it had so énfasis on exploration.

The demo came on Intel Celeron PC's from a company of ill repute. (I don't remember the name but apparently they where basically a Trojan company).

In the same demos there was a typical game where you move a stick bellow to bounce a ball and destroy bricks, it had power ups and bosses. An strategy game with tanka and a terrible Men in Black game. I want to know the name of the space ship game but the others will be appreciated as all.

Ok guys. Been bothering me for years and I don't remember much so bare with me. I hope someone can help me.

The game was a PS1 game third person and it had anime art style and I remember playing as a cop? and you were going through this building and there were all these bosses on different levels of the floors with (powers) abilities and such. I think you had a female partner in the games but, I remember it being really awesome and I never finished it because it was my brothers. Please help me GAF

Edit: I found it it's called T.R.A.G. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZVUFTcYZy8 Thanks GAF for making me remembering this game after so many years!

NES GAME

was a 2d shooter kind of like a contra style, but I think it was like a post apocalyptic city. Player one was a blue guy and player 2 was a red chick who had a long bandana on, but if you pressed select you could change your character

Thats literally all I remember

I remember a C64 game where I played as some kind of orange or blue ball / robot, kinda like this

It was a top down view and you'd roll around the level shooting stuff, I've hit up moby games many times and never found the damn thing, no idea what the game was but it's plagued me for a long time :/

The rolling ball robot thing kinda reminds me of Rock'n Roll or Roadwars, but they don't completely fit the description.

Was the game completely top down or was it perhaps isometric, at an angle etc? Also, was the screen scrolling in all directions or perhaps only horizontal or vertical?

Hi there,
Please help me to remember the following arcade games:

1 - Beat them all: 2 players. One is a Kung-fu guy, white shirt, long hairs. The other is a boxer with red gloves, jeans and a brown jacket.
It's pretty much similar to Double Dragon but with better graphics (still in 2D)
Maybe SNK game (or Takara?)

2- Shoot'em up: vertical shooter, futuristic. Sometimes the player can enter volcanoes and then the game becomes a horizontal shooter.

3- Shoot'em up: 2 players. A jeep and a helicopter. It was an interesting game. The Jeep can make small leaps.

4- Car game (not racing): Top view, 2D, made by Capcom I think. You run from point A to point B, avoid gaps by jumping. You pick up gas tanks to recover power. Player can select between F1 car, Tourism car and a truck.

5- Bubble Bobble-like. You play as a kid equipped with a jetpack and wearing boxing gloves. It's in 2D, you have the screen filled with enemies and power ups. When you wipe everything you move to another screen (d'Oh!)

1- Probably Gang Wars.

3- Silkworm.

5- Funky Jet.

I recognized these immediately, but I'm not really sure about the rest, I'd have to search a bit.

I don't know if this one's just a trailer or if it was released. Anyway, it was a trailer for a PC game that was posted online in 2006.

It was a Sci-fi horror-esque FPS, and what struck me the most about it was the use of a visor, very much like Metroid Prime. In the trailer the guy enters some sort of space station, takes down a security robot with a tazer-ish weapon and (I thinkt) gets attacked by monsters.

This has been annoying me for years, and I'm not taking anything for granted. But if anyone can help me with this, that person most certainly is on GAF =)

Hmmm.

Was it Incubation?

EDIT: Wait...it wasn't Abomination: The Nemesis Project, was it?

2. Terra Cresta?

4. The gap jumping makes me think of Burnin' Rubber, but that didn't have vehicle selection.

Does anyone know of an old ps2 game possibly made by konami or capcom that was entirely in first person in a similar way to mirrors edge? I recall it didn't get brilliant reviews because it was considered disorientating during hand to hand combat sections.

I always wondered if today people would like it more or whether an oculus rift version would be better

I recall one game that came on a Launch Magazine demo disc.

It was on the PC. You played as two robots in an isometric play field. I don't really recall the objectives but I think you had a list of goals such as 'blow up database computers' and the sort. You pretty much walked around, blowing up anything that moved.

I remember playing the demo over and over again, but could never find the full version for sale. I don't know how it holds up 15 years later but it would be a great nostalgia blast.

I figured I would throw my remembered game into the ring, seeing as it has bothered me for a while now that I can't remember the name of it. In fact, I almost wonder if it existed in some crazy dream of mines.

Basically, it was for the PC and it was educational game that dealt in Math. But it was sort of like a first person shooter. I remember that you were on some type of ship and there were these creatures that you could stun with some type of gun that you had and, on certain doors on the ship, you had to solve a math problem just to unlock it. Also, there were certain rooms that sort of simulated being outside. I don't know. The game was cool though, and I wonder if anyone remembers something like that, even with the small amount of info given.

The only other memory of the game I have is that I think the enemies or something in the game was called Pythagoras. Man, I hope someone remembers this.

Edit: I think the game came out around maybe the late 90s to the early 00s. I remember getting it somewhere around junior high school, so might be 2000.

I'm pretty sure it was a vertical scroller, with quite weird enemy design. I don't believer it was at an angle, just straight down.
I think there was scenes with like a bridge across long gaps you could fall down - metallic bridge kind of stuff, you could take left or right path.

I have one I've been trying to remember. It was a multiplayer game that I played with my friend on his computer when I was in elementary school, (mid-late 90's). We would each control our person with different sections on the keyboard. I remember it having a black background, with neon bluish characters that would have weapons that could shoot at each other, who could move on white platforms. The gameplay was like Bionic Commando Rearmed or Spelunky multiplayer, I think.

The thing is, my friend's brother liked to make games with an game maker type application, so it may have just been one of his creations. I also remember the title being "Mushroom Men" or something like that, but I couldn't find anything on it.

There was this 2D platformer on NES and Famicom where there is this boy who has this live pink furball in his back that he'd throw at enemies and the world looked very abstract. Please help guys!

It's not a game (well it is), but I'm trying to remember what this console/computer we had when I was a kid was called.
All I remember was that it ran on cassettes, had a little black tele/monitor, although I'm not sure if that was actually with the computer or separate, and the graphics were literally just green on a black background as far as I remember. The game I remember was a helicopter game possibly, and it took forever to load.

Any ideas?

Amiga game. Similar to star fox but sprite based. There was an obscure mothership in the distance. Came with a comic book. Thats about all I remember.

It was in the PS1 era. The game protagonists are this duo of stereotypical explorers with that funny bucket hat and everything. I think one of them use a bubble gun to stun enemies. I barely remember the rest. Anyone figure it out? I've been trying to find it ever since I saw my friend play it a a kid.

my memory of it is hazy, but it was an arcade game, it was a side-scrolling shooter similar to Contra only you could jump into vehicles like in Metal Slug. The sprites were smaller than Metal Slug. I saw it sometime in the mid to late 90s but it might be older.
