Swedish retailer lists Demon's Souls 2 and Evolve(?) for PS4

They also list Titanfall and Dead Rising 3 for PS4 but these games were already announced (for another platform though) as well as all other games on that list are officially announced...

I haven't found any information about a game named "Evolve" so far. I don't think they are making up games and offer them for preorder.

I just can't believe that FROM is developing Dark Souls 2 and Demon's Souls 2 at the same time. And I don't think Sony would try to develop Demon's Souls 2 somewhere else. So I don't think this means anything.

Edit - Maybe retailers have gotten wise to how GAF makes a fuss of intriguing listings like this, and they're doing it for attention now?

This retailer is more reliable than Webhallen. They were the first to put up Inazuma Eleven for instance. Demon's Souls 2 is strange though.

They probably now have team that can make 2 titles at the same time. It is standard in gaming industry because it occupies your workers full time and you don't need to fire people.

Swede here, take this shit with a massive grain of salt, CDON had World in Conflict for Xbox 360 in their store for like 2 years after it had been officially canceled. Nothing to see here, move along.

What if Miyazaki is in fact directing the development of Demon Souls 2?. Do we know what he is directing/doing as well as advising in Dark Souls 2?.

can someone explain why they want demons souls 2? Isn't dark souls basically the same game, and therefore dark souls 2 would overlap massively?

Personally I'd be very happy with Dark Souls 2 being announced for PS4

Im not a fan of the series so I honestly have no opinion, but would you guys really want another game in the series that would more than likely not be made by FROM?

I was under the impression that Demon's Souls 2 came out 2 years ago

From Software have like 4 teams and their 2 Souls games are the most successful games they've ever released, why wouldn't they make both?

Until I see an actual announcement I'm not a believer. I can't see this happening without a major entity getting screwed. If Sony gives it to another developer then they sour their relationship with Namco + FROM. If FROM does it and Sony publishes, then Namco get's screwed.

The properties are way too similar in both name and content for a Demon's Souls and Dark Souls to exist as separate franchises.

When is Dark Souls 2 coming out?

If Demon Souls 2 is comng out then it would make sense if it was a Vita title. They seem to close together unless Demon just went into production or they're taking different paths.

Because ... 2 awesome games > 1 awesome game.

Also, they're not 'basically' the same game, there are a considerable amount of differences for fans.

Looking at the Wii U, there's a game called Super Mario (Nintendo Wii U) that's separate from 3D land. Also some weird stuff like soul calibur 5, beyond good and evil 2, red steel 3, trauma center, kirby's epic yarn 2 and a lot of random third party games like bioshock infinite, dead space, metal gear rising, etc.

You can bet your ass that Demon Souls 2 or something that looks and plays like it exists for PS4 :D

At some point there are so many rumours it has to be true, similar to DR3, ME2 and FF15.

Uhm... didn't Namco kinda screw Sony over first by doing the Dark Souls thing. So how exactly is Sony being the bad guy here? That said I totally see a PS4 Demons Souls game happening. The big question is tho if FS is making it.

That seems unlikely, but the fact that they list a never heard of game makes it somehow more credible. Why would they come up with a random name like that?

On topic: Dead Rising is from Capcom, right? It will be on PS4 on day... And on iOS, Oyua and Smart TVs.

About Demon Souls 2, that is a niche system seller right there. But, yeah... Massive grain of salt and stuff. Specially when FROM is probably busy with Dark Souls 2.

Edit: Apparently Microsoft is publishing Dead Rising 3, so...

omg just saw your posts lol yeah I was in the threads they posted in too. Exciting. Yeah it confirmed it for me too. Famousmortimer hasn't let me down like ever so.... He was the only one that confirmed destiny of spirits was a F2P vita RPG.

As someone who has shopped there for years, they are very reliable. They have had GT6 on PS3 and PS4 page for a while, even after GT6 announcement for PS3 they did not take it down. Weeks later Sony and Polyphony drop hints that a GT6 for PS4 is coming.

They are not the type of retailer that puts Half Life 3 for the Nintendo DS or Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the Virtual Boy

Are you an expert in Japanese culture? They're companies, not thirteen year olds, I'm sure they understand that Sony can do whatever it wants with the properties it owns.
