Higher than that. People who don't read NeoGAF or gaming sites, but only tech and big news sites. People that would find stuff like Adam Orth's deal with it on The Guardian, not NeoGAF.

Could be that so few people know it that he would out himself if posted. He has proven he has knowledge beyond most. It isn't like that Nintendo thread from before E3 that was super vague trying to be a prophet.

Nah, it's probably more because he doesn't want to get caught. There are companies specialized in analysing writing styles and identifying persons on that.

Wat? There are probably GAFfers who have the same typing "style" (if you can call it that) and yet they live on polar opposite ends on the planet.

So long as he never signed in on GAF at work, and did his posts on untraceable IP addresses and NEVER told anyone (outside of mods of course) then I don't see how him writing normally could even be traced.

I've seen people outed on forums all the time, based solely on the way they type. Hell, there are countless posts on reddit uncovering some person bullshitting about being so and so based on their typing habits/style.

It's really not hard to believe that someone being cautious would make sure nothing from their posts could be traced back to them, including the actual typing style.

He doesn't have a vendetta. Sony has been tight lipped and few things have leaked whereas Microsoft is a leaky, sinking ship where all of the leaks have wound up being negatives.

He is the only real insider here really. Most of the others don't work for any of the companies in question, they just have friends there or get their info from other insiders.
I suspect CBOAT actually works for EA or Microsoft in a very high position, so he is probably really risking his job here.
