any good vids of the multiplayer? Id like to take a look if possible
Then you'd never see new multiplayer maps ... its all about them monies![]()
Yup, they dropped online passes for the same reason. Paywall sucks, but at least they will do away with many of the other terrible practices. They said as much and now they are doing itYou know, if this is what Sony can give us with the PS+ paywall then I'm not pissed off anymore. I just hope they do the same on other games too.
All guns unlocked from the start and all DLC maps free? Holy shit. Hopefully this sets a precedent for other games, at least from Sony's first party.
SWEET!!! I love playing against bots. The Killzone series has always been good to me.The MP screenshots had enemies labelled as bots on the killfeed.
Seriously, THIS.
I hate this trend of locking away all the items/perks/loadouts from you, forcing you to grind to have them.
About a week ago, a tried to play the God of War Ascension multiplayer. Although I greatly enjoyed the beta, starting the game just now was frustating. I am a new player, this is enough disadvantage. Giving better weapons/armor to more experienced players just made me rage quit on my first match.
This trend just works in CoD because everyone dies so easily, so you just need to catch someone of guard to get kills. But in games with higher skillcap? No, just no. Keep the unlockables away, please. Make them like good multiplayer pc games were before.
That's just shitty balance, it's not like it's inherent to unlock systems.Bingo! Want new people to come to your game months down the road? Then don't lock weapons, skills and other crap behind hours and hours of gameplay. Want working people with kids to continue playing your game when they can, then make it so 13 year olds with inherently more time can't just grind their way to the best stuff and let skill do the talking.
I can't believe how far removed the industry has become from this. It used to be standard practice that everyone on both sides regardless of time played had access to the same things the only thing that separated them were skill and teamwork. Now we have people you have access to faster health regen, extra armor, RPGs, better weapons, etc. In my mind you can't say your game is balanced if you lock skills and weapons behind hours of playing the game. DICE I am looking straight at you and your need to not only unlock guns but attachments for each gun, and unlocks for every vehicle for crying out loud. There is nothing balanced about that, it's the have time versus the have no time or look this is the only game I play.

All indications are that Sony's going this path, so it's a safe assumption at the least. Heck, it was their showcase game for downloading functions in one of their E3 videos (though they did similar with Ridge Racer and the best you can get is Type 4.)Is this going to be day one digital? I kind of want to be done with plastic boxes finally.

Have they said whether or not this has splitscreen yet?

It kind of makes me feel uneasy about how many maps the actual game will have at launch.
Absolutely.
What happened to the days of "experience" making you a BETTER MORE SKILLED PLAYER rather than experience leading to unlocks which gives you an advantage?
Absolutely hate that garbage in MP games. I don't have the time to grind.
