Dolphin - Emulating Wii and Gamecube Games

Yeah sure. I'll just post up a full zip of my SweetFx so people can unzip and be done with it.

There a version for x86 and the x64 version of Dolphin so just copy the contents of the folder you need to the root of the Dolphin directory.

Wind Waker SweetFx

It looks beautiful and I'd love to try it but the site asks for a Decryption Key.

Link should get out of there as quick as possible, obviously a nuclear bomb went off not long ago and now everything is glowing like the sun.

Hey, I need help. I have a AMD FX 6300 (3.5GHz, 4.1GHz turbo), 8GB DDR3, and a GTX 660.

What builds and settings are best for Xenoblade and is there anything I can do to make it run better outside of typical configuration settings?

Thanks...

Strange question. Can anyone rip clean sound effects from Dolphin? I suddenly got the idea to use the "talking" sound of the Wandering Troubadour from Little King Story. I want to use it as my texting alert.

Hey guys, I've got a question about Xenoblade. Nothing terribly complex, but I can't find the answer anywhere.

I'd like to import the 360 controller texture pack, but I cannot figure out WHERE to place it. Main texture folder doesn't work, alt texture folder doesn't do it, either. I've got the texture renaming utility but I'm not sure if it's required for this.

Any thoughts?

It's probably this folder

Code:
*Dolphin Folder*\User\Load\Textures\SX4E01

SX4E01 is the GameID for the US version of Xenoblade chronicles.

Then, in graphics setting, on the last tab, enable "Load Textures"

I'm trying to use AA settings from RadeonPro or my CCC for my Dolphin games, but they won't recognize Dolphin. I've added the Dolphin.exe, and no dice. Any tips?

and I was just about to make a post too!

The links are all on my tumblr's sidebar but I'll put them here too:

Dropbox download

2shared download part 1

Also if there's anyone who would be willing to help host this thing just PM me!

Hey, I noticed your post about the fully transparent HUD pack. Are you not posting it because it's a hassle to make, or just haven't put it up yet? If it's because it's a hassle to make, I have a script that makes making textures transparent really, really dead simple.

I just turned all the textures in the "High res HUD" transparent in about 12 seconds with the script.

You can find it here.

If there are more textures that should be made transparent, just tell me which folders from your pack I should do and I can get a transparent HUD up pretty quick.

So last I checked, I could run NSMB at full speed but DKCR is chugging. I have an HP Envy 15 3040NR . I realize it's not an ultra spec'ed out machine so I understand if I'm just SOL here. I'm just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions.

oops, I meant 'translucent'

Though my actual reason isn't that it's hard to do it's just that it would've taken up too much space in the zip file and I wouldn't've been able to upload it easily. Plus I didn't want to test it ¬__¬

I'll probably put one together a bit later though but thanks anyway.

Xenoblade chronicles doesn't support Gamecube controllers. Configure your controls as a Wii classic controller, not a gamecube controller.

I sucked six dicks to get this tag.

Your first mistake is even using Motionjoy. http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller

The true official PS3 to PC driver of NEOGAF and the world.

But other than that GC controllers don't work with XB

So how do you backup a gamecube game with a PC to use on Dolphin? I have a copy of Eternal Darkness that I'd like to try out on Dolphin. Thank you.

I believe it's the same for gamecube, but with my Wii disks I would back them up to my hard drive using my softmodded Wii

I just got into dolphin and I have a few questions. Pcsx2 works pretty well on my pc but for gamecube, especially 4 player mode(zoid vs 3)
it lags a lot. The sound screeches and is overall not the best of experiences. I have a GTX 560 ti, i7 920 and 6 gigs of ram. Can anyone help me optimize my dolphin?
Additional info:
I have a 1920x1080 monitor.
all hardware are stock clocks
Am using DS3 and 360 controller for games

Assuming you have a backward compatible Wii, use CleanRip to copy them to an external HDD or SD card. The Configurable USB Loader doesn't support ripping GCN games so you can't use that.

Gamecube emulation is actually more HW intensive than PS2 emulation generally, some games more than others. So that's worth keeping in mind.

I don't see much regarding that game at all, it may just not be very compatible or have really high CPU requirements. For the sound issue using LLE audio might fix it, but your CPU may not be able to handle it.

The Dolphin wiki has a page covering settings for performance, you can try dabbling with different settings and see if you can get it going.

Anyone find a good Gamecube controller adapter for PCs yet? I found some Gamecube controllers at Five below so I bought two of them and have been using them on my Wii. I'd buy another one just to keep at my desk with the right adapter though.

Hey, How do you handle FIFO Overloads? I just wanna finish Killer 7 and The Last Story. :*(

I looked into this a little, what revision are you using? Because it seems like like FIFO overflows shouldn't happen anymore unless you're using a borked revision or a very old one before the FIFO code was redone.

Also what hardware do you have? Looks like that is primarily a problem when you have an unbalanced system (fast CPU, but weak GPU).

Mayflash has made a couple. I have the 3-in-1 adapter and use it without any problems, and there is also an adapter that just has two Gamecube ports but I haven't used that. Never had a problem with any Mayflash adapters though so I imagine it's probably fine.

I'm sure it's asked frequently, but using the latest build, what are the best settings for Xenoblade?

PC:
Windows 7 64bit
i5 2400
GTX460
8GB RAM

I haven't touched xenoblade in forever because I got tired of the constant audio issues. Supposedly, these were fixed in the latest versions, but I'm still getting them. Even worse now.

Have there been some sort of changes made to dolphin in the last few months to a year? I haven't tried it in ages until tonight and it is unplayably slow even at native res. I have a 2600k and it used to run beautifully. :\
