There are three methods of region-locking available to publishers on Steam:

- Restricting games to run only in certain countries. You can check if a game has this limitation by looking in the registry and seeing if the package has the onlyallowrunincountries string. Here's Lost Planet 3 RU, for example.
- Restricting gifting to users in certain countries (or disabling the option completely). You can check if a game has this limitation by visiting the store of another region using the CC trick (http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=xx, where xx is your desired store's country code) and adding the item to your cart.
- Distinct app ids for different regions, which means that DLC purchased outside of the nominated territories would be incompatible. Again, this is something you can check in the registry: here's Dishonored ROW and Dishonored RU, for example (note the distinct ids for the Dishonored app).

Well it bothered the writer so it's safe to assume it'll bother others. How many? That's hard to say, but it bothered me. I played a few rounds in the beta and was really turned off by it. There just doesn't seem to be a point to the art style except to appeal to adolescent boys. Do we really need cleavage spilling out of a dress? It's just pointless sexism to me.

Same here, I doubted a lot before getting it exactly because that: I knew that the art style was not for me, but I wanted to give it a chance regardless. And as a woman who wants more diversity in this industry, it feels like they had the perfect chance to do something... a bit different, and wasted it. That doesn't mean that I am in a crusade against sexualization, not at all. But... I don't know, I am tired of seeing this ridiculous focus on ass and tits. In a game featuring a full roster of girls I wanted some more options. I got two interesting characters; the rest was pure fanservice.

The game runs lovely and I adore how fast and fluid everything is. The animations are fantastic, and it looks really polished in all aspects. I find everything about the game extremely engrossing, but the art style just puts me off tremendously. I can't really help it.

The original plan was to release Act 2 in April and Act 3 in July, but that didn't pan out, obviously, as Act 2 was instead released in June. Cardboard actually surreptitiously updated KR0's store page when it became clear the game would not be complete by the end of the year: it originally stated that the remaining episodes would be released "over the rest of the year" but now says "over the coming year".

What point is an art style supposed to have other than to be the vision of the creator? The artist finds something visually pleasing or interesting and draws that way, I really don't see why his art should have to be anything other than that.

Edit:I guess I'm just finding it funny that this year we're hearing a lot of dudes say "I like the game and all, but the sexism present in the art bothers me". This kind of "sexism" strikes me as incredibly harmless and not the place the war should be fought, but maybe I'm just ignorant. Sorry I don't mean to derail the thread into sexism in games

That's what sad. The game is really well polished, especially the menus and sounds, and the backgrounds and jazzy interface look great but the art design of the characters specifically is void of any imagination.

They are by a different developer, actually. Theatre of War is developed by 1C internally and the Men of War games are published by 1C, but developed by a Ukrainian company called Best Way. No idea what the games are actually like though, sorry.

I like the option to buy a package of DLC at a discounted rate. I just don't do it until I know what I'm getting it. It works out pretty well for me.

I'll probably get the season pass on sale after at least the next DLC pack is out, depending on reviews. I'm in no hurry to play the one that's already been released.

Fine by me! I've found myself temporarily stumped on a few of the chest chases/speed runs, but nothing overly frustrating (in fact, the problem I had with one of the chest chases is that I didn't realise it's possible to jump from wall to wall without breaking your wall run, haha). It's great when you dash and jump through a level without stuffing it up (or stuffing it up only once or twice if you're able to nab a heart or two) as the attention to detail in the level design really shines through -- the flow is superb.

I got a key for a game on uplay from a video card promotion before (I think Blood Dragon), and it worked like a 100% discount code on the uplay store, meaning I still could only use it after 11 PM. Gotta protect the children.
