A week is nothing. Practically releasing in the same period without making it a logistical mess for retailers.

The US price is fantastic at $399. The UK price is merely 'OK'. It only looks good because it's £80 cheaper than the Xbox One.

Its priced very well, for instance wii u launched at £300 and more if you wanted the zombi u pack. Ps3 is £349 when ps3 launched for £425, 360 launched at £279 and now xboxone launching at £429, out of the three console makers only sony have dropped below their previous console the other two have came in far above what their prvious console launched at.

omg omg omg omg omg

So fuken hyped :D

I'm confused. Every site I look at says it' s launching on the 15th in the US and 22nd everywhere else but Gaf are saying the US is 22nd as well.

Allowing Microsoft the ability to release XBone earlier in the biggest EU markets is a mistake. Sony needed to hit the biggest markets without delay. I can see a lot of people here in the UK thinking twice about skipping the Xbone for the PS4.

Nevermind that 100 euro difference, right ?

According to Sony, a lot of their preorders are from the UK. So Microsoft knew they were in danger of losing ground there, so they're launching before Sony. They have no fear of losing the US to Sony, so they're willing to launch a little later here. Genius tactics, I'd say. And I'm not exactly a Microsoft supporter.

Another CBOAT prophesy has come to fruition!

Later than the PS4...interesting.
What's interesting about it? (Actual question)

They can't launch on the same day, so, somebody has to go second. In the grand scheme of things, it won't matter a bit which one that is. Launching in the week prior to Thanksgiving (US holiday) is absolutely standard practice for MS, so this date could not be less surprising.

Does the fact that it's a Friday make it interesting? I'm grasping here.

That's a great date, since it's so close to the PS4 I won't have to feel bad about not getting it day one. I'll still be fully immersed in ps4.

Not getting why people are praising that much CBOAT as he only stated there has to be a CS meeting november 15th .

You know that month has 30 days right? We can't verify if the meeting is true or not, and this leaves to start with 50% of chance to be a right bet, then the delay on the date and going gold just adds to the odds, no big deal, seriously. Unless I missed a bullseye date from him self, I stand.

Did he specifically say November 22 or did he say something like late November? Because if it's the latter, that means nothing. I could have told you that.

He said CS comes in on the 15th for training. People extrapolated that CS normally gets a week of training before work, so the release day would most probably be the 22nd.

Now that's how you do a simultaneous launch, Sony. Still can't believe Europe has to wait two weeks for PS4.

Am I missing something, where did this 2 week thing come from?

PS4- US- Nov. 15

1 week later

Xbone- US/EU- Nov. 22

1 week later

PS4- EU- Nov. 29

So it's coming out 1 week earlier in a marker that doesn't care about it, and 1 week later in the only market it has a chance.

You really think no one in the US cares about the PS4? Really? Pre-order numbers would seem to indicate otherwise, but okay.

I too think its a mistake for Sony to be late to Europe. I am not sure how much of a difference a week will make, but the UK in particular is a really competitive environment, they shouldn't have taken any chances.

He's saying no one cares about XB1 in UK (hyperbolic tho), and that US is the only territory XB1 has a fighting chance.

This. I was talking more about the EU in general though, considering a significant amount of features touted for the Xbone only work in the US

Even if I wanted to get one, I wouldn't be able to.

Pretty messy launch, to be honest.

Well for the netherlands this not so interesting since well you know it will launch next year. And by the looks of it PS4 will be a greater success here.
