Didn't Rushy say ps3 wheel aren't supported at the moment since the don't have the SDK from Logitech?

Why is the title still so?

I don't think it was ever said in so many words. Support for all types peripherals has been confirmed I think to be dependant on manufacturer releasing drivers. Title was never changed back to an unconfirmed status.

60FPS gameplay, of a game that runs at 30, and footage captured at 30, and on a player that runs at 30.

My brain...

Just fyi, youtube channel promotion gets you banned, and you seem to be doing it alot.

I spent many hours to make this video at 60FPS, the video don't have ads, I only want share my work.

Watch this video with over 20,000 views (not is mine) and the same method: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgilXRpkkx8

Haha, what?

Have you seen o download the video? this is stupid, and I won't put more videos here, calm.

Oh man, Driveclub looks beautiful in 60fps.

Thanks! ;)

If you download the video and use a program for see the mediainfo...

Codec ID : H264
Duration : 3mn 16s
Bit rate : 10 000 Kbps
Width : 1 280 pixels
Height : 720 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate : 59.940 fps

There it says, 60fps, I do not deceive anyone.

I'm not sure about the 60/30 deal, but he's generally pretty good with some of the videos he posts in the pCARS (and maybe rF2) threads.

Yep, I downloaded the video. YT playback was a little weird. You did a good job with the video. That's how I would expect Driveclub to look running at 60 frames.

Please do not do that Adrian, your contribute to the driving games and amazing videos is much appreciated!

You are doing a great job for the driving community here on NeoGAF, please reconsider your decision.

Yeah, just be more thoughtful on how you post them, you're basically copy pasting the same "sales pitch" post across several threads with only the video link changed, a mod will probably see that as clear YouTube channel promotion. Just a friendly advice.

Guys that footage IS 60FPS and it looks awesome, go DL it :D

Edit: Oh nvm, the game still runs at 30fps, not really much to see here then..

So it was revealed that internally Sony has been testing their VR tech on Driveclub to look around the cockpit. VR needs 60fps minimum and Driveclub renders at 1080p. Could this mean that internally they are approaching their 1080p 60fps target?

Just read that.

A games developer familiar with Sony's plans, who wished to remain anonymous, told CVG that Evolution Studios is currently working with the device to simulate a cockpit view on its PS4 title Drive Club.

Maybe the resolution will lower like when you turn on 3D or something. And is 60FPS required for VR? I haven't used the Rift nor the Sony HMZs. That might put a huge limit on what games would be able to be used with their VR in general if so.

It also says "simulate a cockpit view" so it maybe a specific view enabled only for the VR headset.

Yes, 60fps is needed for VR.

Sony's HMZs are not VR, they are head mounted displays [no motion tracking]. In them you can easily play anything, 30fps is not a problem.

I found a mint in box Driving Force GT and a church garage sale for just $3. If PS3 wheels are supported, I just might give it a go, lol.

Tomorrow, confirmed :)

JESUS CHRIST

THANK YOU LORD

EDIT

Am I getting crazy or it's possible to see difference in lighting in these videos due to the clouds?? In one section it looks a bit dark, suddenly it gets lit up and colours look more vivid, etc... O____O

FINALLY!

Ok, so where's all that terrible aliasing all around I was told about?

Looks amazing as expected.
It looks fairly evident to me :[

It looks fantastic besides the obvious shimmering and aliasing.

I want IQ and framerate to be a focus for this game. That's all that matters.

um, I can see it. Look at the road white lines when turning a corner. or all the poles in the ground at the end of the S curve at the end of the track. or the edge of the dash where it meets the window in the first person cam.

I mean, I can see the aliasing much more clearly with this 1080p footage than with the more aggressively compressed Facebook videos (and especially compared to off screen footage).

Don’t get me wrong, I think these videos are a big improvement over the old ones but the clarity also shows more aliasing as it’s not "smudged out” due to compression.

I expect proper anti aliasing be added before release. I’m not gonna freak out about it. I still think the game looks really nice and I love the realistic take on lighting and shadows. But the aliasing specifically is more clear to my eyes now than it ever was off older videos.

Lord Error

Insane For Sony
They need to fix the aliasing on road lines. Other than that, I didn't see any aliasing worth complaining about. Must have been horribly calibrated TVs at tradeshows that exaggerated this problem with so many people complaining about it. "Sharpness +100 hellzyeah, let's make these games look SHARP!"

I wouldn't worry about the lack of AA. The final version of Driveclub will have an AA solution. You usually add AA after you have optimized the rest of the graphics engine and know what frame budget you have left over for AA.

Maybe Rushy can chime in with a simple "we will have AA in the final product" to help put fears to rest. ;)
