it's actually about how the new company from the remnants of InGen try to pass off their dinosaur park as a authentic Jurassic park except dinosaurs are actually just really animatronics and then the real dinosaurs show up via some sort of importing error and they take out the animatronics that are in the park and replace it with themselves which are the real deal, prompting another dinosaur crisis so to speak.

I'd be surprised if this movie doesn't turn out to be crappy - and after that the series will be dead.

Miss the dinosaur mania from the 90s.... :(

Its fine. Jurassic Park IV was already sullied by every sequel sucking. And by JPV I'd start thinking of it as live action Land Before Time. They needed to establish this was different from that disaster that was III.

So, this was posted by a Rebelscum member on July 28, 2013..

At CE2 today Iain Mcaig & Pablo Hidalgo introduced a video teaser clip of what was called "Jurassic World"
I'm not sure what type of dinosaur it was but think it was a pterodactyl?
The clip starts with the pterodactyl landing on a beach hut and crushing it, then launching itself high into the sky, circling and swooping & screeching.
Next the camera pans back to the beach where people are bathing & surfing, the camera zooms in close on a huge wave with a surfer riding the tube, then the pterodactyl comes flying through the wave and flys off with the surfer in its jaws.

Agreed. The steel logo just looks shitty. I prefer this logo from Carnotaur3 on JPL

Huh? It hasn't been delayed again, its finally been given a date after it was put on hold.

I just want 3 things from this movie:

-Isla Nublar
-Marine Reptiles
-Good Story

And please please avoid dinos on the mainland rampage although if that test footage is true it sounds like they may be going back to that (unless the beach is actually part of the JP resort).

And jesus it's such a pet peeve of mine when people use terms like "brontosaurus" and "pterodactyl" and clearly don't know jack about dinosaurs. The pterosaur described in that teaser was more than likely a JP 3 style Pteranodon.

And by Brontosaurus you ofcourse mean Apatosaurus! Brontosaurus is so outdated!

I recently learned that in the Transformers 4 topic. I grew up with old shitty books on Dinosaurs and the G1 cartoon

Studies have shown that Palaeontological discoveries take about 30 to 40 years to get into the general publics consciousness. Like the Raptors in the first film where on the level of 1969 science. Sadly Brontosaurus has been disputed for much longer than that, so it will most likely stick with the people for a long long time to come.

It has stuck with me now!

I remember those old books though... with the really weird T-rex standing up straight and having a rather non-menacing head.

Would be a missed opportunity if the final logo doesn't have a world map type design in the classic circle, made up of Islands that form the shape of a T-Rex. :p

I'll try to keep my expectations low, but I'm quite sure I'll end up watching it as soon as it comes out anyhow.

If they can give a new generation, what they gave me with JP - then I'm all for it. If it's anything like the second half of Lost World or JP3, I don't want anyone to ever get near it, so his experience of JP1 remains untainted.

Sadly everything points in the direction of a Hollywood version of Megashark vs. Giant Octopus or something like that. Don't try to force it, just go back to the Park concept and built around that. No World invasion, mutations or Dino-Terrorism please. Let me experience the wonders of Jurassic Park again. I'm cool with feathers though. Previous ones having none could be explained by the missing DNA-strings filled with frogs DNA or something.

I really, really want this movie to be good. But if the name, "Jurassic World" is indicative of the type of direction the movie is taking? I doubt it will be. Not like that's particularly surprising, though.

Come on Jurassic World, prove me wrong.

If the title is relating to the name of a new park, it doesn't make sense. After the events of JP1, why would anyone make a park implying that it's in anyway related to the first disaster prone park. It's like calling a ship Titanic 2. I mean granted, some millionaire actually was working on a ship called that, but I'm pretty sure everyone was in agreement that he was insane.
