So far it's just the left to right list, everything together. They will have to have the option to create folders or sections though because it will get packed on there!

Can you double tap the PS button to auto switch between the last app used? I saw this in Sony's official PS4 UI video but wanted to make sure it wasn't one of those "video" features.

It depends on your internet connection.

Going from 3mbps to 12mbps I noticed a huge increase in store navigation speeds. It's smooth now and (almost) instant.

It was slow on my 40mb wired connection, and it didn't change when I upgraded to 100mb. The download speeds are fine though.

Well Sony said real names would be allowed when both parties agreed. So I guess name requests are requests to attach your real name on that other persons console/friendlist.

I know we will be able to customize day one, but I hope there are some dynamic themes on day one as well. It looks great and is snappy (those that own a Vita never doubted this part), it just needs a personal touch is all.

I'll explain since I am working on a PS4 game.

Display Name change allows you to add (and change) your real name. So alongside your PSN ID you can have your real name, and edit it at will This is seperate from your PSN ID though.

The two requests are so you can send requests to real names, and PSN names separately.

I have been wondering about the specifics of the fine print of all this. Mostly because in many cases I know people by forum names that frequently dont match psn names. So I wish I could display such folks by the forum names I know. But I guess its real name or psn id.

But Vita allows you to theme it yourself, by grouping content however you want, and setting the background for each page/group. The combination of dynamic animated color backing and PNG transparent images is really cool too.

I think it looks amazing ! simple, easy on the eye, minimalist, fast... Love it !

I just hope they keep that speed on the store and everywhere, especially when you're playing a game and you want to send an invite or check something, i want all that to be fast. As of now, i would say that speed wise, it's a great start.

That's my main concern with the PS4 now, the OS, i want it to be intuitive and fast. If they nail that, i'm a happy customer ! I know games wise, they're gonna drop the bombs !

Right on. That was my main issue with the PS3, every time I'd have to go on the XMB to check an invite, send a message or enter a chat room, I'd run the risk of being stuck with the XMB loading on me in the middle of a game. This looks really fast, and a huge step up from the PS3.

I'm happy with the OS. And hopefully the SEN (PSN?) Store isn't the same cluttered mess that we have right now.
