SCEE announces 2 PS4 bundles (PS4 + KZ = €439, PS4+KZ+Camera+DS4 = €499)

I wonder if the preorder DLC for Killzone will be included? Seems a little unfair otherwise...

Most likely yes.

Heh, I just saw that all PS4 versions on Amazon.de are sold out. Bundles, standalone, all gone.
German GameStop homepage says all orders since today will be third delivery, expected after christmas.

The WatchDogs bundle is the bundle I have preordered. Im not sure there's much of a saving on it , just made sense as it's the game I'm most looking forward to at launch.

£399.99? - That's a joke, you can get both on Amazon separately for that price or if you preordered earlier, even cheaper!

Hoping Amazon's bundles are cheaper!

Perhaps someone can give me some insight into a little issue I've uncovered.

First of all, I have a PS4 pre-ordered from GAME in the UK. I pre-ordered the original bundle which contained the console, Killzone Shadowfall and Driveclub. This was in July. I plan to turn up to the midnight launch.

After reading about the bundle with Killzone Shadowfall, the camera and 2 controllers, I asked a guy in GAME whether I would be able to modify my pre-order so that I could pick up this new bundle instead. He told me that GAME would never physically stock the bundle and that the only way to get it would from the store's website, however, for whatever reason, I wouldn't be able to change over my existing pre-order to do this, so I would be joining the back of the queue.

This can't be right, can it?

First of all, console bundles like this aren't that rare at launch surely? I find it hard to believe you can only get them delivered.

Second, announcing a bundle in the same month that stock shortages are reported seems counter intuitive if you can't adjust your pre-order for the new bundle without losing your place.

I might call GAME up and try again, I'm not sure how clued up the guy was, he didn't know how much the bundle costed or what was in it until I told him.

If he is correct however, I may just sell Driveclub and use the proceeds to get the camera.

AusGAF, anyone know if JBHifi are getting these bundles and if you can upgrade your preorder? I forgot to call them today to check, and there's nothing on their site about the bundles.

No he's wrong. I preordered in GAME, the same bundle originally as you (DC & KZ) - now that bundle with the limited edition versions of those games is not being stocked anymore for whatever reason. The manager in my local GAME basically changed my pre-order in store to the Watch Dogs bundle (he offered me a bunch of options) and updated my info accordingly. It will still be available for pick up launch day, but bundles themselves are apparently being done on a first come first serve basis.

Hmm.

Okay I'll definitely look into it again.

shit - has GAME in wesfield london closed? Was going to ring them but can't find their details on GAME's website or on westfield's site (west london one). I had a PS4 preorder there since fucking March. If they've closed what happens now!?

Looks like they closed. Call GAME cs and see what they say :/

ShopTo's news site is saying we should know "this week" whether we have an option to upgrade to the mega bundle or not. The other two are available right now. Hoping I can upgrade, £80 for Killzone, a DS4 and the camera is a steal.

Phew. Turns out they transferred all preorders to Ealing. Just got off the phone with Thame, and they confirmed they have my details. They're calling Ealing customers this week about bundles, and Westfield customers next week.

I know people are worried/gutted about Mega bundle stock here, so I thought I'd post this which I found:

http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/VideoGamesxw8crpg6mp/PlayStation-4-Console--MegaPack-Bundle

I was messaging gameseek on twitter and they told me they still have this in stock for launch date, so I just pre ordered this from them now!
They will take the money out of your account when you pre-order however if thats a problem for people.
I'm hoping I can still get the bundle with ShopTo though, I'll cancel the gameseek order if they offer me a mega bundle upgrade, however it seems unlikely with them saying June pre-orders are unlikely to get offered an upgrade, but the bundle seems a priority to me really.

All these Americans who think $1 = 1€ = £1 and don't realise that our prices include tax... I want to bite off my own fist if this is the way people legitimately think.
That bundle is very definition of a bargain.

The funny thing is this is the ONLY bundle that has a bargain. Its £399 for PS4 + watchdogs/Killzone, its actually cheaper to get them both seperately to me.
The bundle is awesome for me personally cause these are all the things I want definitely for launch, and essentially a camera thrown in for free.

Yeah, I keep telling myself 'free camera is better than nowt' - and it's not - it means my Moves will be usable (for any games than support it) day one and also you get those free eye games (which by all accounts are quite good fun). The bonus being the free games also use the 2nd controller so it's like a double - bonus.

The only thing I have to consider now is whether to cancel my red DS4 or keep it and hope I can sell the extra black for near £45 :S

I preordered Watch Dogs when it was £48 on Shopto, which means buying them separately is about £2 cheaper than the bundle. Didn't preorder KZ though, so might go for the "mega bundle", depending on what they price it at and I was early enough with my order

If this is reasonably price (and I doubt it will because... this is Australia) then fuck yes I'll jump on this. I was going to buy a second controller anyways for splitscreen

Yeah similar to me. Pre-ordered KZ when it just below £50, was maybe just a £1 cheaper than the bundle, even with that it doesnt really seem worth changing to the bundle to get it all in one package. ShopTo will probably ship individual things all in 1 package anyway, so you'd probably get everything at the same time anyway

EDIT: Actually just noticed the Killzone/Watch_Dog bundles at gameseek are both £389, so good if actually want to save something with the bundle.

With the bundles looking like they'll be £450 here, is there any reason I should get it from the UK instead of my German preorder, so long as they're both launch?

Had my second email from shopto saying i can get in on the killzone and watchdogs pre-orders, but they will be contacting those who are eligible for the camera bundle this week. I better bloody well be eligible, i've had the thing pre-ordered since the 22nd Feb.

Should be fine dude... I think it will most likely be at least february pre-orders who get in.
They said around 20% of pre-orders are getting it, I cant see that many pre-orders being made in the first month of it being announced (AKA around 2-3 weeks of it being announced?)

I think while ShopTo's method is a fair approach, I think it should have just been a free for all, whoever ever pre-ordered the bundle till it runs out got it. That way the people who wanted it most would have got it. I can see a lot of people just accepting the pre-order and selling it higher later, which just upsets me really.

Regardless of what way they do it, it's going to be unfair for someone. :/

I'll probably just not bother with controller and camera unless I somehow get a mega bundle. Maybe get a deal on the camera sometime in the future.

Doubt I'll preorder a console from shop to again mind you. I'll just stick with Amazon or game seeing as they seem to get far more stock for stuff like this.

Ordered the PS4 + KZSF bundle on Monday (with no prior preorder), and I got told by shopto over the phone and by a support ticket that I'll be guaranteed one for launch.

Pretty mindblowing for me considering Sony's statement about preorders after 6th August being delivered post-launch.

Went to GameStop to ask if I could upgrade my pre-order to the KZ+controller+camera model. They told me that the bundles were already sold out and I wouldn't get my PS4 before January if I did. Staying with the regular then.

I'm in Zurich, Switzerland by the way.

Still haven't heard anything from Amazon :(

Perhaps that's because I cancelled my pre-order with them at the weekend! (Still got my Amazon one though).

$673.60 for the bundle

PS4 $399
Camera $59.99
KZ: Shadow Fall $59.99
DS4: $59.99
Tax: ~$57 (depending on your state IF you have to pay it)

= $579 - $636

Free healthcare, higher wages, etc. etc., but still - that sucks for the EU they're getting a bit shafted on prices. No wonder they don't buy games!

Heh, I wish. PS4 games are going to be $95 here in Sweden.

God dammit SCEA.

Yeah, I really have nothing else to contribute other than my continued disappointment of SCEA in how behind they are compared to the services in other regions. Shameful.

So there was a small update on the german Amazon bundle product description, this part:

Kunden mit einer Lieferadresse in Deutschland, die bis einschließlich 30. September 2013 vorbestellt haben, erhalten den Artikel am Erscheinungstag. Alle Vorbestellungen, die nach dem 30.September 2013 erfolgen, werden voraussichtlich erst nach Weihnachten, spätestens aber bis Ende Januar 2014 ausgeliefert.

It means: Customers with a german delivery address who ordered until the 30th of September will get it on launch day, everyone else after christmas but until the end of January.

Note, that for the standard edition, the August 5th deadline still exists.

Looks like there's no need (and possibility?) to upgrade your existing preorder if you got the bundle in September. I don't know what this means for countries like the UK where the bundle wasn't available until today.

Heh, well that should provide an answer for those people wondering if they should keep their orders on Amazon.de if they ordered from outside of Germany.

I'd hoped it was ambiguous enough since it didn't explicitly say that orders to a non-DE address placed before 30th Sept *wouldn't* be delivered, but I agree it probably means exactly what you've written, shame.

It may be time to update the delivery address to the in-laws and make plans for a weekend visit at the end of Nov, just in case amazon UK doesn't get its rear in gear.

Having said that I'll probably just cancel it anyway, I'd feel guilty about "robbing" someone of a bundle who lives in DE all year.

This makes no sense, what the fuck. Why would they have such a discriminating rule. I ordered on the first day these bundles became available.

Atleast I still have my Amazon.fr order.

They don't know when this bundle releases exactly, but it's before Christmas. My interpretation of the German address thing is just, that they can't guarantee pre Christmas delivery for foreign customers because of shipping...

Well shipping doesn't seem to be the problem, I ordered previously on German Amazon and my orders came on time. The only shipping option for me was Standard 2-3 day delivery, which means I would be getting it early december, and I'm fine with that. Isn't it illegal if they were deliberately stopping foreign deliveries? As a business Amazon should uphold the principle of first come first serve, not this discriminating shit.

I think his point is that Amazon.de expects that the bundle will be released right before Christmas (where .. "will get it on launch day", means launch of the bundle, not the PS4 releasing in Europe). Meaning that only domestic addresses can expect to receive it up to Christmas.

I'm hoping gameseek will deliver.
It seems to good to be true I can pre-order the bundle with them now and get it guaranteed on release date...
I have tweets/e-mail from them saying I will though..., so I would think I'd get compensation or some sign of appology if I dont get it at launch.

Both the OP and the translated info from Amazon.de say that these bundles are coming out on launch day. Even if they were in limited numbers, I would be one of the first in line as I pre-ordered the very first day it became available.
