That sounds like how they would feel in the rectum, respectively.

MS: GDDR5 is uncomfortable.
Me: Why?
MS: Because ESRAM is BALANCED (shocker).
Me: No. Why is GDDR5 uncomfortable?
MS: It just is.
Me: Why?
MS: Because... The Xbox One is balanced.
Me: You're not answering the question.
MS: What question?
Me: Why is GDDR5 uncomfortable?
MS: Because we designed the Xbox One for balance.
Me: So how is GDDR5 unbalanced?
MS: Because ESRAM is balanced.
Me: What the fuck is wrong with you?
MS: have you seen the keys to our truck?
I am to the point I hope MS crashes and burns with X1. The amount of FUD is overwhelming. Statements without merit. Statements without factual evidence. Its disgusting. While I hope they fail I do hope another contender enters the ring to keep Sony on their toes. As much as I think Sony has changed, more competition is good. It is becoming evident, however, that MS will try ANYTHING to blur the lines on the battlefield. Tsk tsk tsk.
I just need to make sure i myself don't get banned before launch
Should be interesting to watch the Head to head Digital foundry threads.
Richard can expect some big bonus in november with all the comparison articles he and the staff has to write
That is what they have in the planning for 2014 one of the few reason im even getting an X1 there is just something about pushing things instead of getting an new GPU.
I'm not a fan of Digital Foundry's in most cases then not pointless comparison exercises, but give the guy a break, Leadbetter loves his techy details and Microsoft indulged him, while smug Cerney didn't.
Again it will be all about those games.
I repeat again....games.
Yes remember those.
Games.
Games.
Games.
It wouldn't matter if the PS4 can render Fallout 4 with 25% more polygons then the X1 version, if Fallout 4 is an exclusive to MS.
Microsoft really need to stop playing this pointless hardware catch up and fight fire with water...in this case, titanic industry shaking exclusives.
You have the power of the Money Hat MS. I suggest you start using it...

Firstly, Cerny did do an interview with leadbetter, It was terrible. He asked some seriously stupid questions:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-face-to-face-with-mark-cerny
Secondly, this is a thread about console hardware, games games games, is a brilliant argument, but it's best suited to a completely different thread, because you know, Hardware technical discussion thread...
Reading many of the technical experts on here, it really makes you wonder if it has anything to do with games.
Third-party exclusives are very rare these days and the few examples we've seen so far have been focused around using the Kinect. At most you're going to get timed exclusive DLC or pre-order bonuses. A game like Fallout 4 would be released for any system that's capable of running it.It wouldn't matter if the PS4 can render Fallout 4 with 25% more polygons then the X1 version, if Fallout 4 is an exclusive to MS.
I think DF pointed out that it was made clear that Cerny would not elaborate on the technical details he had discussed at the original PS4 launch. So they were pretty much hamstrung on the technical details.
So I can buy an Xbox One and use dev tools?
Microsoft is certainly counting on multiplatform games looking similar, and they might be confident for many reasons other than the claimed "similarity" in power. That is where the disingenuity begins.
I doubt it'll be usable until you patch it.
Using the xbox one to develop games isn't a feature at launch I don't think.
Every xb1 is a dev kit, just not at launch.

Almost as if they know something we don't eh?

Did they say it will be available for free and without signing NDA?

they still managed to come up with some stupid questions about GDDR latency, which they could have just checked online at samsung or Hynix websites that have clearly stated latency figures...Considering the website they are supposed to be they should know the comparative latency between GDDR5 and DDR3.
Drop the X1 version to 900p?
Most wouldn't even know if they played and weren't told.
And its an easy way to close the 40% gap in compute.
Calling it an exclusive is just silly when I can play the game without owning an Xbox One. It will also get a late PS4 port according to our own MS insider, CBoaT.There are still 'exclusives' like Titanfall.

Yep, they're doing a great job getting deals for most of the popular franchises. Everything from FIFA to XCOM is getting some kind of promotion.Yes but its still quite apparent that MS has moneyhatted it.
To provide a balanced argument it is worth mentioning PR at Sony (including Cerny) have hinted there will be a discernible difference ... as if they know something we don't eh?
You probably need an dev account which costs like 99/year.
Ooh yeah i need to refresh my dreamspark account before graduating uni hopefully this year dat free software is too good to pass.
eSRAM is anything but balanced. It's hack for having shitty system RAM. One that eats into your die budget as well.
Yep and the Knack showreel started shortly after..........
And that has what to do with multi-platform parity?
Exactly.
Look
You believe MS knows something about multi-platforms being similar based on conjecture. I said Sony provided the similar conjecture but saying multi-platforms will be better on PS4.
Then you acted like someone pissed in your chips.

Don't we all want to know what they know?
Yep and the Knack showreel started shortly after..........
What does that have to do with his post let alone anything?
Cerny laid down the Sony gospel, then he world revealed Knack. Have you seen it yet Nibby?
But what does that have to do with Multplatform parity?
I've seen it, it looks nice graphically but the gameplay is not really for me. But it's a small budget smaller team game so I'm not expecting ground breaking tech and visuals.
You dont want to spend too much of your die budget on CPU and GPU, your system woud become unbalanced, then you'd be in an uncomfortable position with such a strong GPU.

It's all rhetorics my friend. Just going round and round.....
Actually dropping the res still does not account for the difference in the GPU. The PS4 version could easily be higher res, have higher precision effects, and run better.
Based on the past few months, I don't think Microsoft knows what they know.Almost as if they know something we don't eh?

I think the discontentment comes not from the fact that Xbox fans resent criticism of the platform from other posters. Instead, it's the constant barrage of irrational hatre shown towards the games being developed for the X1.
Threads for X1 games will be filled to the brim with ridiculous statements about the development process of the game, many of which are blatantly untrue. These threads also get bombarded with PS4 comparisons, irrelevant policy discussions and general FUD being spouted by those posters who have already made it clear that they have no intention of buying the console or the game.
If there were a good example of a rhetoric, it would be this statement of yours.
You could dismiss everything as rhetoric, but it appears a lot of information has been revealed and analysed - the back and forth is simply the nature of differing opinions. It sounds like you would have preferred this forum to be an auditorium dedicated to Microsoft instead.
