I dont even understand what an "adult" geared pokemon game would even entail.... yet people keep making this excuse as they get older.

^This. GF balances for 3v3 and 4v4 - they just don't care about 6v6 Singles competitively - and, well... special attackers were excellent in those formats.

Black/White 2 were actual sequels to Black/White set in the same region 2 years after the first games, but with some new/changed locations, old Pokemon in the Unova dex, and other changes like an expanded postgame.

But regardless, at it's core it is a series for children. Always has been. Probably always will be.

Making thing mature in hopes of bringing back the audience that got to old for it is silly and is chasing an audience that isn't worth it IMO. You just end up alienating the group that liked the series for what it was.

This is the type of thing that happened to the Advance Wars series...and killed it.

I knew that to an extent, it was the only show that my friends parents let them watch that was more on the adult side as it was animated and they didnt really catch on lol

now with family guy etc that would be impossible to pull off as theres so many crude animations today.

Yep. They changed the whole way you earn them too, now it's a full mini-game and you can see your results and it's thoroughly enjoyable by casual players, like me. I never really worked on EVs, but with the Super Training system, I can do it now.
