I'm looking at this in the context of overall life. When I'm old and look back on my life, I'm not really going to think about what game I got for what console. In that light, it is meaningless.

Holy awful footage!! It's funny, Xbone is the superior version because 1080p would just highlight and sharpen the turd. Shit if they can make it 480p they would be doing us all a favor.

The B3D XB1 crew are past the denial phase, they have entered crazy now. Multiple posters are wishing for lower res, they think they are getting better shaders. I'm surprised that meme hasn't made it here.

Maybe they can offload some of the graphics processing to the Kinect - when its not otherwise being used.

How can Albert say "We wouldn't give Sony a 30% performance advantage." and then admit that he has no information about how 3rd party titles perform on either system? That just doesn't add up.

Lol yea THATS what happened, IW decided to give it a lower resolution but superior shaders.

Now sit two feet back 2 or 3 feet back. It's very hard to tell the difference! Not defending the xbox 1 here, I just think a lot of people are giving too much importance to 1080p vs 720p on a tv. Does 1080p look better than 720p, of course it does. Does it make a huge difference to the majority of gamers? no

Is Xbox 1 fucked? yes! I think the power disparity is going to show in more important ways, ie Framerate, and Effects.

Nope. Sit 6 feet back, still blurry/muddy. 720p on a 50 inch 1080p screen is not great looking. It's also sad that we would pay $500 for a next gen console, but it won't look as bad if you sit across the room. That shouldn't even be a thing this gen. This is the tech you are going to have for 6+ years. Unacceptable, especially at that price.

I was concerned that my thirst for quincunx quality graphics wouldn't be satiated for next gen. Thankfully, I can rest assured.

Agreed. I was honestly surprised he posted it. Reading it I got the sense that he wasn't even sure it was right to post it as he was writing the message (given that the leak was really thin). It's a crazy time right now and I can see how he may have gotten caught up in all of the excitement and decided to run with it anyway. At the end of the day I think holding on to that info until it was more concrete and he felt more confident in it would have been the thing to do. He did tell everyone it was thin Intel, but with the climate right now a lot of people are going to run with anything you give them. Hopefully it all clears up soon!

That's my spiel. Back to the funny gifs!

His job isn't to know the resolution of every 3rd party game coming out on the XB1. I'm not defending any of the other FUD spread around in the past few months but saying "I don't know" doesn't really count. If someone asked me what resolution a game was running at just by playing/seeing it I wouldn't be 100% sure. If he doesn't know he doesn't know. The truth will come out eventually.

Maybe all the aggression on GAF is just getting to me.

Getting both consoles at launch...but I'll bite:

Is it so difficult to believe that people get Xbox for Xbox exclusives?

My favorite franchise of all time is Halo. Xbone was easy for me...getting a ps4 primarily for the exclusives because I like theirs too...I also have a kick ass PC that can run just about anything on ultra...yet I stick with Xbox primarily because I like it. My friends are there, I've had an XBL account since halo 2... There are others like me.

I don't know how much he has to do but honestly I can't imaging him being here without his job requiring it. And as you can see it's not like he posts all day so I doubt it's as big of a deal as it seems to us.

How can he claim there isn't a 30% power gap if he is clueless on resolution of the number one selling title on his system?

If he isn't at liberty to say what it is, so be it, but don't lie to me.
