Were DF video botched to favour Xone version?
Because IGN and jackfrags comparisons looks better anyway at PS4 hardware. But at DF Xone version seems too dark to see the edges...
Not intentionally, but yes.

Not really. But you can export a movie/images sequence from Photoshop and make it into an apng using apnggasm http://sourceforge.net/projects/apngasm/gif destroys the image quality, but there you go. Anyone know if there's an ANPG plugin for photoshop?

Where does it say the Xbox one version will get AA for launch?
I feel like I missed a post from dice.
DF claimed that many of the game textures seemed to be randomised, such as some ground textures and even the player's own textures (in terms of camo), so that would explain differing textures in some shots which seem to favour one version or another. But really you'd have to ask yourself whether anything DF claims can be trusted given the glaringly obvious problems with the footage they released: it seems to indicate a level of technical incompetence that is truly concerning for a site which passes themselves off as experts.
Xbox One version definitely has better textures. There's missing ground texture detail in the PS4 version. The hell happened there? PS4 has the same amount of RAM and it's faster.
That says AO not AA.Here:
Haha, just realized Kevin Dent answered me yesterday.
Apparently his eyes do lie.

720p to 900p with framerate differences and more effects is "console parity" now?
This thread...
Edit: As I said earlier, I do agree that the average consumer might not care or notice much of that when looking at videos, but from a technical point of view this difference is ridiculously bad for MS.
Considering what we've seen of Killzone/Driveclub and Ryse/Forza, this all seems a bit silly
DF capture happened. The settings were not tweaked for each console, and happened to be closer to optimal for the X1.
Not intentionally, but yes.
Most likely not intentionally. The Xbox One version on DF looks off compared to everything else. They admitted to their mistake.
Can't tell if sarcasm? Why would I need an upscaler when I can play at native 1080p? And I also use my PC for a lot more than games. And the extra money isn't really a concern. I have money to afford it plus I can get PC games much cheaper. That said, I'm still getting a PS4.

lol, im just joking man. Inside I am crying, due to the ... augh ... can't even explain how bad this all is, on the outside I am laughing hysterically though. Can't wait to see peoples reactions when they get this stuff inside their own house with their own TV.
How much of a hit does AO usually give? 2/3 fps?
Well the good news is that DICE are patching in a new AA mode for PS4 and the Bone in the retail version, hopefully that will reduce the amount of texture blurring.
I did and I don't see anything on aa.Check the most reliable source, Twitter.
Bah, too late.
This is the exact build I was going to use as an example, sans the SSD. You'll be able to turn BF4 up to Ultra, with all the bells and whistles, and get a steady 60fps. I'm running a similar rig with an Nvidia card. There is absolutely no comparison between what the PC is capable of and what the console obviously aren't.
AO, not AA as far as I'm aware.
So, this ground texture will look different each time you reload to play this section? Because it clearly is in Xbox One's favor right there:
As is the rail texture in the foreground here:
I did and I don't see anything on aa.
Summary below for people who just joined saw the pics in op and Come to conclusion
PS4 Version =
- Resolution is 900p
Higher avg FPS(40-60)
Have AO
Appear blurry due to Improper Calibration by DF
Xbone=
Resolution is 720p
Lower Avg FPS (30-60)
Appear sharp due to Improper Caliberation by DF
No AO (to be patched day one )
What? Spending three times much money gets you better graphics? You don't say.
That says AO not AA.
We didn't have situation where one console renders in 50% higer resolution with better framerate, with additional effects

From Video Gamer:
They explained that in a neogaf post well and truly after the footage had been released... footage they'd been sitting on for some time due to the embargo. Did they look at the footage and not see the obvious differences from what they saw in person when they captured all of this stuff at the DICE event? Did they not immediately notice the crushed blacks? And DF is easily the most reliable out of the bunch. They explained they were clearly rushing in capturing footage and didn't have time to calibrate their custom equipment with what the consoles were putting out.

He's a maroon and we should stop posting his tweets.I don't understand how he got this wrong, then doubled down on it.

The issue was saturation (black levels), but couldn't the "blurryness" simply be AA? PS4 possibly using some FXAA.Summary below for people who just joined saw the pics in op and Come to conclusion

Yeah, this. Xbone version looks sharper and seems to have better colours/contrast. What's going on?Maybe it's because I'm on my phone, but the Xbox version clearly looks better.
Exactly 'this thread', people are so seething that both versions look pretty much the same that they are clinging on to any little thing they can to show the PS4 version is better.
I can't really take much more of this place.
Look at the HUD. That's a really bad capture. This is misleading.
PS4 version appears blurry/ Xbone version appears sharp outside of DF.
For example, here;
So don't try and imply this disparity is wholly because of DF capture.
And no one expected any different...Both versions look fantastic. I said it. I ain't taking it back.
