While I'm in no way defending the game this is pure exaggeration right here.
Benchmarking metro last light, rome total war 2 or batman AC I got frame rate dips too, for metro I think some were even in one digit number for a fraction of a second, should I come here and bitch that the game runs at 1080p/8fps??

The problem is that people are posting those DF gifs and implying they are representative of the game as a whole. That's really the only reason why I posted those gifs, to ensure that there's more of a fair comparison.

I really hope so too. DR is probably my most played and loved IP this generation, I want to see it getting off to a great start next gen so we get more of them...

Even though I rarely agree with him, I like SenjutsuSage. He's um, overly enthusiastic, sure, but mostly looks to see the positives in any situation.
But man, sometime you just have to admit defeat and accept there are no positives in things. Having the major exclusive launch game hit at 720p/~20fps with aliasing is not a sign for anything other that acceptance that the Xbox One is not a capable next gen console.
The crazy thing is, the 360 launched with games at the same resolution, but with better frame rates and IQ.

720p/Sub 30 FPS is really unacceptable for a next gen game in my opinion. What is even more unacceptable is that apparently the developers claimed that this was locked at 30fps (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). People who have played the game say it plays smooth so I'll wait to pass judgement until the game is released, but as it stands I'll be holding off on this one come launch day.
Graphics and numbers aren't everything, but to not be able to hit what in my mind should be basic standards at this point (720p/30fps) is kind of ridiculous.

Agreed. I'm not believing anything until we see a final reviewable copy, and I mean DAY ONE reviewable with whatever patch they push on us. Xbox One requires an internet connection to even use the very first day, so I'm assuming many of these developers were giving themselves the extra time after a game usually goes gold to finish last minute optimizations. I think I may wait on impressions the very first day before buying this, though.

that GIF is running at way less than 30 fps anyway. It's just the graph and framecounter you can rely on at that point. but yes, if that looks like an acceptable frame rate to you in that GIF, enjoy the final game.
