Twitch being accessible right from the main menu so quickly is just amazing.

I love it.

UI is very smooth/snappy. Hitting the home button during the game is seamless, no stutter. Works perfectly.

Might be due to the hot air rising in a different direction it has to work harder to exhaust it from the system, I'm sure the same would occur if you put most desktops on their side as air would get trapped against the side panel instead of rising to fans at the top/back. Just a guess.

I downloaded the PS4 update and it says "preparing to install".

Been like that for the last 5 minutes. Happened to anyone else? Should i restart my console or leave it for now?

I'm surprised to see that Hulu Plus works in Remote Play.

Granted, unlike others, I'm having problems with remote play. Any fast action causes the video to go to crap. :(

My friend and I were playing some Killzone, I hit share and select Broadcast gameplay, my Twitter feed is automatically updated (via Twitch option) and in a minute or two I have a few people throwing questions and chatting during my gameplay.

I knew that's how it would work, but to do it in person, on launch day, is really something else.

Speaking of Polygon, there seems to be a lot of Japanese people who have this console already. All these people using remote play...

But that's enough of that. I'm insanely jealous of you people who have your console. I'm really looking forward to being able to upload video to youtube though, as I don't want to put it on my facebook.

Right when I set up my console it started to download the update which was weird because I never set up my network settings. It sat at preparing to install also so I just went along and connected to my router, re downloaded the update and it took like 5 mins.

Trying to decide whether I should start up a new PSN+ account or keep my old one. I don't dislike my old username, but I'd much prefer to use my universal gaming name (piratethingy) for OCD's sake. I got rid of my PS3, but I do have a Vita. I know I'm never going to play Vita Uncharted or whatever, but I'd like to play Gravity Rush eventually. I probably never will, but ah well.

I guess I should probably just restart. So annoying that we can't just name change.

These are my feelings to the T. Aside from the PSN issues earlier tonight, its been perfect, the games, the UI, the streaming, the Vita remote play. Lived up to expectations.

Killzone Shadow Fall gunplay feels amazing and kills feel really satisfying. It's so responsive and with no discernible input lag. And the graphics. MY GOODNESS THE GRAPHICS! Seeing Killzone at 60fps is bizarre and amazing.

God damn this is hard, having to wait these 2 weeks for the UK launch is killing now! I thought I would be ok but hearing everyone’s great impressions of the UI and remote play is making it much harder :(

Oh well, only 2 weeks to go I suppose *Insert Total Recall Gif*

I have my setting set to show my username not real name. In the activity feed on my PS4 I see myself as my real name. Is there a way to have it display my username? I'm assuming others are seeming my username and I'm just seeing my real name.

That's definitely the case. No way to disable it that I know of. It's tied to your PSN info.

Yea, I also have it set to only display my username to friends. It does show my name plus username to myself so I'm pretty sure it's just standard to display it like that to you.

Just tried to update again from store and the thing worked flawless.

Standing in line at BB for PS4 #1. The pre-order line is a dozen deep, while the buy today line is 50+. The store opens at 8am. Which gives me enough time to get home and wait for Ups and PS4 #2 from Amazon.

For some reason I find that weird when I see it. All my other notifications are my friends' usernames and then my real name. It sticks out. It doesn't really matter, but for some reason I want it to display my username. I hope they do change it later on so that if you have your setting to display your username you also see your username in the activity feed.

Can you remove yourself from your own feed? I don't really need to know what I'm doing.

OK I got my ps4 and after downloading the update and installing some games everything is going betterthan expected. I ddidn't use the default HDMI and slowly plunged it in just to be extra safe. UK super snappy and the store doesn't feel like I'm swimming in marmalade. Quick question: has anyone with a third party headset tried it out to see if it works? I'd rather play multi with my turtle beach headset than the ear buds I got.

I'm jealous of all of you with good download speeds. The 1.5 update download was lightning fast, but since then, it's been PS3 levels of slow for me.

Warframe has been downloading for almost 2 hours and only 1.5 gigs has downloaded.
