Except this is the console screenshot thread, not handheld. To be honest, I'd rather it be limited to just the now 'current gen' consoles only.

I have this on pc with settings maxed but im going for WiiU version,graphics are great and game pad make it a win in my opinion.

I'm impressed by AC4 Wii U screenshots. The game looks much better than what I was expecting. Will buy it as soon as they realise the price they are charging for it on the eShop is ridiculous.
Also, I'm impressed that Nintendo has a better solution for screenshots than Sony and Microsoft. Go figure.

Yeah it is odd that in a lot of online stuff such as accounts,chat & friend partys Nintendo is behind the times but Miiverse,shop layout,browser & screen capture is top notch.
The thing with these Knack pictures that puts me a bit off is the use of shadows.
Like, from what I can tell, when you're outside, the use of shadows is wonderful and well done. But they seem to follow the logic that characters don't cast shadows once they're inside a cave, even when there are lightsources there.
This creates the look of a very nice-looking cave... with Knack just pasted on.
(This is at least the impression these screenshots are giving me)

Where did I mention the word crap? I have already played Wind Waker and while Pikmin 3 looks great, it does not warrant a full $300 console+game purchase when I can get the PS4 for $160 more with a much bigger potential of having better games in its future. I thought this was common knowledge among GAF? I am not saying the Wii U is a terrible gaming machine. I can see myself purchasing it in a few years from now.
Most Wanted looks fantastic, going to be getting that soon I reckon.

General concensus on GAF over the course of months pretty much says the same. Not everyone is equal, and I respect people's choices on getting the Wii U with such a price, but do not disrespect my opinion about it. I am not hating on the Wii U, not by a longshot. I hope I made myself clear about this.
I am going to stop derailing this thread. Seems like the smartest thing to do. People can react on this post but I will not react once again... For my own safety.
Relax bro. I'm holding out on the PS4 right now for the same reasons you don't have a Wii U.

I think I'm the only one in the entire universe that doesn't find Super Mario World very impressive.
I mean it looks great but i can't see a noticeable jump from Galaxy at all.
It looks to me like a Wii game running on HD, maybe it's got a great IQ but and art but so does Galaxy.
If you would run Galaxy on a dolphin i wouldn't know which is the latest game...

Galaxy looks more polygonal for a start. You won't find those near perfectly round surfaces as you do in 3D World. The textures are clearly of a higher standard as well.
Have you played the game, or are you basing this off of screenshots?
The only part of what you said that matters.

Though, while beautiful, everything in 3D World feels more...round. Galaxy on Dolphin is beautiful, though we can clearly see some polygonal edges.
Man, just looking at these shots...we really need an HD remaster of these two.
Didn't play, only from all those screenshots.
And the screens above me kind of prove my point, they seem like 2 games on the same system, if you wanna be generous you can say 3D World is the Uncharted 2 and Galaxy is 1,But still, same generation for my eyes.

i wish i could afford one right one
in the meantime i'm trying to see if one of my friends has a wii he doesn't use so i can borrow it, there's a shit ton of games i missed on that one too (hell, it would be worth it just for mario galaxy 1&2).

Whats crazy about Killzone: SF is I actually think it looks even better in motion than a lot of these screenshots can show. Can't wait to see what the games look like 2 to 3 years into this new generation.

If you haven't played the game then you don't know what you're talking about at all. The game looks leaps and bounds better than galaxy in motion.

Screenshots don't do it justice, just like any modern game really (neither does video.)
Nobody's gonna mistake Galaxy for 3D World while actually playing them, Dolphin or no Dolphin. There's a HUGE gap there.
You have to see it on the system, on a TV to really see what the fuss is about. For example, shots of the rainy levels wouldn't tell you that there's animated water running down the screen, subtle animated floor textures where the water hits the ground and some really nice fog effects to boot.
