I waited until today to claim mine since the server was hammered yesterday. Mighty No 3433. I'm oddly thrilled with that, since that's a lot of 3s.

Just got my Mighty No, but it looks like there are some issues going on... unless it's just me?

Tried to claim my No. but get a huge ugly error upon putting in the No. and password, starting with:

"General error: 1206 The total number of locks exceeds the lock table size"

Hmmm.

EDIT: had been trying for 15 minutes — waited 15 more and the error resolved itself.

Mighty No. 44893.

Dang! For a little while, I thought I had the lowest non-staff number!

Mighty No. 51, ready, willing, prepared to fight. That's from PAX, of course... I got my number from the Kickstarter this morning (No. 16371) which I'll probably give away to a friend.

At the current rate, seems like they'll be trickling out for a good several days yet.

To be fair, I am (well, was) staff.

Okay, that's peculiar. I already got an email last week to register and claim my Mighty No. for my KS pledge, but I got another email overnight with an entirely different number for my additional pledge via PayPal (for the cartridge USB).

Updating this thread and hoping that's okay, to say that I'm really disappointed in all of the controversy that exists over Dina being community manager in the official forums.

I can understand a disagreements like not thinking she's fit for character designing.

But things like people asking for a refund seems absolutely ridiculous. Furthermore, people are making a very large fuss about the fact that she made and retweeted feminist posts on Twitter. And that people and saying that they're 'worried' that "she'll bring an awful social justice feminist agenda into Mighty No. 9".

I think it makes us look terrible. This outrage over "feminism" and "social justice" is making us Mega Man fans look bad. And things like this. This isn't cool.

It really doesn't matter if she hasn't played a lot of Mega Man games. It would be nice, but it isn't that important. And it doesn't matter if she got the job by having social connections, that's normal from the industry. And it really, really, really doesn't matter if she's a feminist.

If someone is so disgusted by feminism as to request their money refunded. I say they can go ahead and leave. But it's a real shame that some people are acting this way. At this rate someone is going to write and article on the internet about misogynistic Mega Man fans.

That's the only part I don't like. I don't mind about all the other stuff, but knowing she got in through connections and never even played a MM game. It's just kinda weird. Even her design didn't really scream MM like all the other designs did, which really shows. Also, she needs to work on forum etiquette. If she's the community manager, she needs to learn to take criticism about the game and her work.

I'm not enraged, or am going to go out of my way like others had since it's not a big deal. It's just a little unassuring is all.

All of this mostly has to do with the community of the game right now. I'm guessing the game itself is coming along fine, which is what I mostly care about.

I'd say that these things matter a lot, especially after she has pretty much lied about it and then deleted her tweets. You also forget to mention that she said she's actually designing robots for the game.
I don't care about the feminist stuff, but a person with questionable talent has got their hands on the developement of a game that I (and lots of other people) contributed to fund through questionable means. I think I have the right to be concerned.

Why the fuck doesnt it? This isn't some self funded indie project, its one that was publicly funded with more than 60K backers. I have no problem with there being a female bot choice, or hell even if inafune decides to scrap the male bot altogether in favor of the female one, but what I do have a problem with is comcept taking money out of their publicly funded total and flying over and employing a talentless tumblr feminist who isn't even a megaman fan, or has even fucking played most if any of them. There is absolutely no need to have her in the development team, and unless they can give me sufficient reasons as to why she is so crucial to the development of the game I along with many others will be asking for refunds.
Even her design was so fucking amateurish

What the fuck? I haven't ventured to the forums yet tbh, now I wonder if I'll bother. What a great way to start this business off. I shudder to think where we'll be in a year after a dozen design votes have come and gone. This is the last project I would expect or surely want to see derailed by its own community. I mean, I read the update in the email, thought the little art of her was pretty godawful, but that's where I left things. I dunno if I even feel like finding out all the details of what's happening.

You being a backer gives you absolutely zero input in what kind of business, employer acqusition or designs they will make. Of course not everyone working for the game is a former MM enthusiast. To demand something like that is to act childish.

"Mega Man X is the best Mega Man"?!
I demand a refund.

Really though, I wish her the best and hope all this stupidity doesn't hurt her work process.
