Would you say that if you saw how they dominated in the US last gen? I believe they sold around 16 million more in the US (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Currently, they're losing in the other region they won in, the UK.

Yeah, I was completely wrong when I criticized people for calling it spin. It's spin. I didn't realize that the PS4 had sold 1 million in 24 hours.

Nevertheless, the Xbox did quite well. It seems like they sold through everything that they were able to put on shelves (real or virtual). I would not at all be surprised if it beats the PS4 in December.

It's kind of disheartening, actually, if you're not impressed with Microsoft's business plan for this console.

Considering the fact that MS used to dominate US, for Sony to be able to defeat them after MS did the 180 and throwing moneyhats here and there tells me that they fucked up quite royally.

Current-gen is almost dead, dying much faster than everyone anticipated, the great 3DS comeback of 2013 hasn't materalised, the Vita and Wii U are irrelevant and have no hope of ever not being, the Xbox One had a very mediocre attach rate; the only positive notes are PS4 and Xbox One hardware sales.

Yay?

I said PS4 and Xbone would be close to 50:50 in the US and that looks pretty likely.

It's outside America where the higher price, unusable TV features and late launch will mean the PS4 will enjoy a large advantage.

I would do it as you say, yes. Calculate the average on the same period for both consoles (9 days) and then PS4 would be faster no doubt about that. The trick here is that XBO did sell faster 'in november' because it was released later. Its not fair as you said, but thats how they are playing.

yep. MS is EXTREMELY US heavy in their audience as well. a good 50% of all 360s sold were in the US. They tie or take an L in the US for this generation, they may as well pack it up.

The amount of crazy buy 2g1 deals help push PS4 software over PS3 in a lot of games. Thats pretty crazy.... must be a crazy high attached rate.

Sony should thank target and amazon!

SCEA has kind of ignored Vita this entire year. They didn't do any TV ads, and their Black Friday deal was just $20 off. It's pretty clear that they checked out once they saw December 2012's figures.

Okay with PS4 being top selling and Xbox One being second best selling, the 3DS (including 2DS) at 755-780K fits that perfectly.

lol well isn't that just ..how it was always in the NA? SCEA gives no fucks about vita lol And this comes from someone who enjoys the system.

Wiiu has been outselling it quite easily so not sure why some are acting surprised. Vita numbers will be horrid
