Jesus the Wii U sales aren't 150k, but still horrendous
I need Wii U numbers so fucking badly, but in the face of everything else, I can only imagine what the hell is taking place inside NCL. Some serious moves have to be made now.
Holy (understandable but whoa) shit @ both Mario and Zelda not charting.

Over 6 billion people looked at the stars in November and observed the shifting alignment of stars, planets, and galaxies that govern the spirits of video game mascots. Excellent start for PS4 in both software and hardware
600k for 360 is a pretty good number for a last gen system
+15% YoY for 3DS with new revision and Pokemon keeps the trending of, while still selling, portables are declining fast in the west.

Haha. That "fastest selling" PR spin from MS is beyond pathetic. Then again, they figured the nuances of 720p vs 1080p would go unnoticed by their audience, so it doesn't surprise me they assume their audience's math education is so deficient that they don't know the ins and outs of of calculating a median and how it's affected by the number of days on the market for each platform and potential supply constraints immediately after a launch.

To be fair, we have the worst COD in years and a hilariously broken Battlefield, and Assassin's Creed is coming off some major franchise fatigue/discontent due to the poor reception of 3. GTA is pretty obviously going to be hampered by not being on the new consoles; the number of people who want it for PS360 and haven't already picked it up for one or the other already is bound to be lower than it otherwise would be.
These are also physical retail numbers, and the obvious hope for all parties involved is that more of the sales have swung toward digital. The XB1, in particular, may have shed its always-on DRM design, but it still wears the fact it wants you to go digital on its sleeve; I'm guessing quite a few owners have started to make the transition.

I'm not big on npd numbers, but everyone hating Microsoft for twisting the stats, or whatever. You act like if you were running a business you wouldn't do everything you can to make yours sound the best.
But, MS stated they did over a mil day one right? How many were day 1 in the us? 500k? So another 500k in 12 other territories or was that some bs?

Isnt this because PS4 has been out of Stock and X1 has had stock available?
PS4 went on Sale today again on Amazon and sold out in 20min, who knows how much stock they got, also reports that alot of major suppliers in the US getting their biggest supplys yet. In the UK GAME has been seling phase 2 + 3 Pre-orders this week and onwards.
Numbers will change for sure.

I have seen his numbers verify in the past, though not consistently so. It's interesting to go off of the data he's shared, but until I see a second source to back up his data, interesting is as far as I can go. I've gotta have more sources.
If he's right? The number is nothing to sneeze at-- though it's still way below where a next-gen console should be one year in and a significant drop off YOY.

It's bullshit. It's pretty much a lie. Ignore the PR, focus on the actual numbers.
PS4 is the best and fastest selling console. Simple as that.

It's over, period. Nintendo lost the casuals, and that's the end of their Wii U hopes and dreams.
It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Wii U. Nintendo has nothing left, nothing they have can fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for anyone, hardcore or casual, to substantially invest in a Wii U. Except if they want to play Bayonetta 2. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.
Microsoft and Sony took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a WiiU over a PS4 or Xbox one(except Miiverse LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the underpowered non-entity that was Wii U.
There may be some hardcore gamers that stick around. Some did it for PS3 too. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

That 220k is assuming that Nintendo correctly used the phrase "increased by 340 percent" (IE sales are 4.4 * October) as opposed to incorrectly using the phrase (IE sales are 3.4 * October)
