So, 2DS was included then.
Eeeeeeeeh, it's a good number, but it should have sold 1 million this month.
At least, December has Pokémon 2DS bundles, so it's certainly going to be a good December.
we said the same thing about this month because of the black friday 99 dollar 2ds

Really bummed about the Wii U. I love this system!

Glad the other systems are doing well, at least.

Me too, it's great, but I bought it knowing it would only be getting Nintendo support. These awful numbers dont change that. I own a PS4, so there's no reason to even consider another console for multi-plats.

Pokemon numbers also seem pretty mediocre for the holiday season the month after launch. I mean it's easily going to sell 10 million worldwide in the end at least.

Holyshit! 220k for the Wii U in Nov with Black Friday is a fucking disaster.

Iwata is so dead. He's a dead man walking.

220k is what the Vita did last November too.

Uh, yeah.

I don't think there's any more to be said here.

Holy fuck. that's HORRIBLE.

I eagerly await the nintendo fan spin about how the vita is dead, and sony should get the fuck out of handhelds, but nintendo is still viable here.

The Nintendo brand is finally over. Maybe next decade!

It's over, period. Nintendo lost the casuals, and that's the end of their Wii U hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Wii U. Nintendo has nothing left, nothing they have can fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for anyone, hardcore or casual, to substantially invest in a Wii U. Except if they want to play Bayonetta 2. Which will also come to PS4 at some point.

Microsoft and Sony took the last reason away that anyone would NEED to own a WiiU over a PS4 or Xbox one(except Miiverse LOL GAMING), and the cavalcade of tiny titles that will be nice but won't stir up any sales is not going to salvage the underpowered non-entity that was Wii U.

There may be some hardcore gamers that stick around. Some did it for PS3 too. But the last bell tolled. Maybe next decade.

The age of Nintendo is done.

220k? Yikes..I was thinking 300k+ and even then that was bad.

With every NPD I can't but laugh at the Nintendo's hardware forecast for the wiiu

I'm not so sure. PSP was a good start, but they failed to properly capitalized with the Vita. They might still turn it around with a deep price cut on both hardware and memory cards as well as some value adds.

On the other end, Nintendo would do well to get out of the console business and focus solely on handhelds...can't really see Nintendo righting the U boat at this stage. It's basically dead...
Sony can right the Vita ship but Nintendo is done with the Wii U? Yeah, that makes sense.
They're both done.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Nintendo needs to kill this machine and move all games past Mario Kart 8 on to a console more powerful than PS4 and released in 2015/2016.

Have what were supposed to be Wii U Smash Bros and Zelda be launch titles for the new system.

Glad to see Zelda 3DS sell so much, though. What a fantastic game.

Incredible, but yeah....the same year Yamauchi died could be the same year Mario died. Incredible. Somehow I feel really old now having been raised playing NEW and Mario Bros.

It was fucking 30 years ago. Maybe the time really is over and people now see games differently.....

Ok I'll stop saying bullshit sorry. Just feeling a bit nostalgic.
Uhh. No.

Kill the wiiu Nintendo.

there's nothing to gain by riding this turd for a couple more years just to say it wasn't killed too soon.

the market didn't want it, no shame in accepting that.

I feel super bummed about the WIi U. Congratulations to both Sony and Microsoft, though not seeing at least one first party game on the top ten list is disappointing.

Sales of Wii U hardware increased by more than 340 percent over sales in October.

So ~220k.

C'mon Sony, break your guidelines and release your goddam sales. Even Nintendo had the guts to spill out Wii U's pathetic numnbers.
That picture is hilarious lol.

Congrats to Sony for attaining leadership position in the market.

It's over, period. Nintendo lost their last ace, and that's the end of their Wii U hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for Wii U. Nintendo has nothing left, nothing they can reveal tomorrow would fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for any one, hardcore or casual, to substantively invest in a Wii U. Except if they want to play SM3DW. Which will also come to Xbox One at some point.

*This is a joke post.

Haha, all the memories. This thread is starting to warm up.

Comparison data. We are in Dreamcast territory.

In honor of this historic month, I've compiled a full list of November (Black Friday) performances throughout the decades to compare performances to.

Note: these numbers only represent the console in its prime (1996-present), and don't contain the November that the console launched in (because so many of these consoles have November launches).

Sega:

96K (Saturn, November 1996)

245K (Dreamcast, November 1999)
192K (Dreamcast, November 2000)
259K (Dreamcast, November 2001)

Lowest month: 92K (Saturn, November 1996)
Highest month: 259K (Dreamcast, November 2001)

Nintendo:

764K (N64, November 1997)
718K (N64, November 1998)
465K (N64, November 1999)
275K (N64, November 2000)

424K (GameCube, November 2002)
751K (GameCube, November 2003)
350K (GameCube, November 2004)
272K (GameCube, November 2005)

There is a heartless truth in that statement, sad and true :( - Everyone loves Nintendo surely, even if they did screw up

Nintendo seriously needs to do something, but at this point it's hard to see it turning this around.
