Europe's Miiverse just got a whole slew of new (old) 3DS communities.

NoA lagging behind as always

Makes me wonder whether they're going to add every single game... By the way, I hope that this week new releases get their own communities.

Wow, Best Buy was fast with my eShop card. Getting Chain Buster & possibly Attack of the Friday Monsters if I can figure out what the actual gameplay is about.

It is basically an adventure game with a card fighting element added in.

You live in a small Japanese town that you recently moved to, and your family owns a laundry. Your dad is kind of depressed because life did not go his way.

You meet with kids, talk to them and eventually collect cards for a card battling game.

The game is way more about the story and experience than the"gameplay." Other than the card battling, you are basically talking to people.

The dialogue is great though, and the graphics are charming.

Um...... wow :O

Will these screenshots keep their 3D effect when saved?

If you save them onto the 3DS, then yeah. If you save them on your PC, then I *think* if you save the file as a ".mpo" (manually change the file extension when saving), it MIGHT retain the 3D effect. Not sure though. There really isn't much point in this however, it's better to save them onto your 3DS directly.

Jools Watsham tweeted a quick look at what Wario Land VB might look like if colourized.

I'd play that.

Nintendo would NEVER do it unless it is a full remake.
VC is based on fidelity.

I hope it comes to USA too

I don't know if this was common knowledge, but if you plug in 3DS screenshot URLs grabbed directly from web miiverse into the 3DS browser, they will appear in 3D.

For example:

http://ow.ly/rOESW

http://ow.ly/rOG5p

...if you enter on Miiverse on 3DS you can see 3D screenshots too

Well you can't save them directly from Miiverse onto your 3DS can you? So it sounds like it would be more work to save them like that since you'd have to get the url first unless I'm missing something.

Yeah, you get the url from web Miiverse and plug it into your 3DS browser, then save it. Easier if you shorten the url first.

That's definitely the best way to save 3D Miiverse screenshots, I think.

Okay, I'm going to try to save some screenshots to my PC the way you mentioned and see if that works. If not I'll do it your way.

Thanks!

Also, any impressions on Mega Man GB? Considering picking it up for the price.
It's more of a curiosity. It's not as great as the console ones and I felt it was a bit harder as well, but for that price, it's worth trying if you're a Mega Man fan & want to see how the game would translate to the less technical Game Boy.

Might get MMX since Wii U & 3DS now share the same wallet, though I think I've been spoiled by the Collections and it's hard to bring myself to buy the individual games.

Just making fun of the "panic mode Nintendo is best Nintendo" meme

I was hoping you saw a sign.

I'm still waiting for Nintendo panic. They badly need to drop the price of their software.

What's the purpose of miiverse? To draw cool things?

It's actually surprisingly engaging once you get things going. There's a follow system, which allows you to track posts other users make, as well as a Like (called "Yeah") system. You can comment on and discuss posts, and anytime you do any of those things, the other user(s) associated with the post or comment is alerted. It's not completely unlike Tumblr, really. Being able to post in-game pics and having game-specific places to post makes it unique. It's not a deep social-networking thing, but for what it is, it's fun if you're into that sort of thing. Definitely a nice addition to the 3DS, a lot more interesting than Swapnote was, for me anyway.

Considering I got a free 3D Land and Animal Crossing from NoE I have no right to complain really but that Mega Man deal is rad and I would like something like that too please, none of this third-off shit.

Is it just me, or has Capcom been the only 3rd party to do VC sales on the eShop? I'm hoping we'll see other companies discount their NES & SNES titles (I can't recall if they've done it for GB/C titles on the 3DS eShop). Would love to get Super Castlevania 4 & Contra 3 on Wii U VC if Konami would put them on sale.

I think it may be because they are one of the few who have a substantial amount of games there already.

Funny GIF, but Giana Sisters, Toki Tori 1 & 2, Little Inferno, Art of Balance TOUCH! & Mutant Mudds are far from what I'd call trash.

Every time I see these topics, I realize I should probably break down and use my FE/SMT4 credit and get something, probably Phoenix Wright, but I haven't played the Apollo Justice one and I don't want to buy that damn cartridge. Too bad they didn't put it out digital anywhere like they did in a few spots with AA 1-3.

Someone haas also feedback about Knytt?

KFR is well worth the low price. We've only done 10 levels or so but really dug it so far. Here's a thread about it:

No Wii U VC isn't a surprise at this point, but it is pretty hilarious especially coming off the back of what Iwata said a while ago.

Doing well there.

I'm disappointed too. I really thought and hoped that quote meant some changes were coming to the VC release frequency. Hopefully they still will!

Hmm... there's a Wii Sports Club maintenance this Wednesday. I hope it's for what I think it's for. Guess we shall know in about 5 hours :)

I could totally see Wii Sports Club - Golf being released this Wednesday. I mean, wasn't the sport showcased in a recent Nintendo event in the US? Or was it just at NoA's headquarters?

The metroid begging really needs to stop

Most of the beggers wouldnt even buy a new metroid game if it were out

Yeah, but will it be the REAL Metroid game, like in our wildest expectation (open world FPS strategic platformer with mechs) ?

The Starship Damrey turned out to be a really good game. Sadly I'm already stuck, I just suck at this kind of games. But the atmosphere is SO good.

So I finally got around to opening up the FE 3DS (yeah 6+ months late, heh). I don't want to do a transfer since I'll use it mainly for Animal Crossing and other non-button wearing games like Fire Emblem.

Can you link two 3DS to a Club Nintendo account (for point redeeming)?

Can you link two 3DS to a Miiverse account (I haven't created one yet btw)? Even if it's possible, purchases are still tied to the 3DS, right? I was thinking of getting Attack of the Friday Monsters to it, but then I'd have to redeem a $20 card (since int'l credit cards are blocked on the US e-shop). If I could share the balance between the two 3DS' that'd be ideal, but is it possible?

Does local multiplayer in the 3DS Streets Of Rage mean download local play, not requiring a secondary game cart/virtual paid copy? IE; some of of ad-hoc temporary game download using one copy of the game and two 3DS handhelds?
