Even if that's a shitty screencap off a YouTube video, I prefer it. Eyes in particular look more convincing.

Even from the reveal trailer, the changes made to her face look pretty terrible.

I also don't understand how/why this is being re-released at $60. It's nice to include all the pieces of DLC for the multiplayer (hell, maybe it'll be re-vitalized on new consoles!) and the outfits, but that still doesn't justify the price.

Better visuals, higher resolution, TressFX - all wonderful things, especially if you didn't play the PC version. I'd like to add another version of the game to my PS4 collection, but not until a massive price cut.

I guess they are "hoping" that gamers who desperately want something new for their next gen consoles will scoop it up while there aren't a plethora of games out I suppose. I loved the PS3 version, but even I got to think about it for $60. $40 sure, why not? $60...........gotta think about it. I'll probably get it sooner than later, but it really has to look significantly better and make the previous console versions look antiquated.

They're almost implying that the new model couldn't have been made without the power of the next-gen consoles even though my pc that's from before the game was even out is more powerful than both of them, wtf happened to this company man, stop this nonsense.

Yeah, because they were talking about......consoles. They designed the first game around the 360/PS3 specs. Now they can design things around the new consoles.

No one cares that you paid a shit load for a PC a few yeas ago. The vast majority of people didn't.

Funny that even mentioning a different platform (which the game came out on mind you and is mentioned in this Q&A) brings out the worst console warriors, every, single, time.

Oh and i didn't pay a shitload for my PC but hey funny to comment on stuff you have no knowledge of huh.

Original Lara looks like a weary warrior with a great burden on her psyche.

New Lara looks like she is going on her first outdoors excursion.

Her new jawline looks way worse than Old Lara's. I think fixing that would make it fine for me.

Her new look is great I think, but I still fail to see much of a resemblance to the model they used at all. And at sixty dollars, they can wait for a purchase from me until it hits thirty. Huge, huge fan of the series. The game was fantastic and everything I wanted, I just simply can't justify the price for basically a higher quality version and some updated physics.

Oh jeez, MP trophies, that'll go well considering how alive Tomb Raider MP of the last gen is.

Also, are people still defending this being $60 and 30fps? I sure hope not.

Have 100+ gift cards for best buy. Still won't buy till 30.

40 would have took the plunge. But now 29.99.

Kinda the same with rayman.

I'm in the "New face is better" Camp. She simply looks more realistic... which is all I'm really asking for here. As for facial features, I could take or leave either, but the new one definitely looks more realistic.

Man, I hope I find a used copy of this quickly after release because I'll admit it: I'm ready to buy any new PS4 game at this time. Yes, I'm one of those.

I get the feeling they are trying to cash in on the launch drought? I'll probably pick it up, but in a month when it drops to $30 in a sale.

Yeah, I think instead I'm just gonna pick up the comic for a few bucks. First issue is Feb 26th, so almost a month after the digital pack-in with the game.

Don't think you will be waiting long at all. Forza, Ryse, and Dead Rising 3 are already down to $39.99 at like Best Buy and occasionally Amazon. Both PS4 and Xbone are gonna have awful summer droughts so discounted Tomb Raider and Rayman would be good for that period of time.

Wonder how dead MP will be...

Wonder if the improvements for it will be enough for it to be playable this time around cause it was horrible on the PS3... only played it cause of the level 60 trophy.

Well considering Shadowfall's dreadful numbers, imagine this.

All people want is their Battlefields and their Call of Dutys.

Sooo, for people like me who haven't played it, you guys still think it's not worth $60?

I mean yeah, I might as well scoop the PC version for a lot less I guess.

And in both instances you could easily just play the original for less money. It's no different since both games were redone extensively(based on this interview).

Extensive my ass. Nintendo had a good reason to make an HD port of WW, because it's 2013 and no one with a 1080p TV wants to play a 480p game on it.

Asking $60 for the port is simply too much. Even though the game drought has reached me, i still prefer to wait until it hits the $30 price point. I would have bought it without a doubt at $40.

I remember being some controversy with the digital version on PS3 requiring an always online connection, does the PS4 digital version have the same problem with an always online requirement?

playing a prettier version of this game is a little bit enticing but i've honestly learned my lesson from injustice on the ps4.

i need to see some comparison screenshots or video and see the changes are significant to give it a try because right now... all signs are saying no.

The difference is that Injustice on PS4 launched at the same price the PS3/360 Ultimate Editions of the game did.

I loved the game on 360, but now that I've seen the story and collected everything to collect, there's no reason to go back and play it again with better graphics.

After playing a little of this game, they can keep it. Its basically a female uncharted with bloodlust mod. No thanks.

pretty much.

It's what happens when they try and resell you a plot-driven interactive cinematic blockbuster with little to no replay value just with a new polish. That's why nuthuggers of this genre will say the multiplayer is "teh best" and will target anyone who thinks otherwise because that's the only thing that they can justify $60 for.
