NFL 2013 Wild Card |OT| The Return of Jafar

If they had won it WOULD have been because of Rodgers (and maybe a few timely plays by the defense). Kaep had a good game yes, but he was playing against a shit D. Let's see him do it against Carolina or Seattle before we put him in the HoF, shall we?

GB's D didn't have a bad game. They played well enough for that team. It wasn't the Defense that had 6 yards in the first quarter of the game. It wasn't the defense that did that stupid Cobb run on first and goal when they have the beast from the southeast on their team.

Most people forget that Carolina's only touchdown came a play after a pick bounced off of Bowmans hands into Olsens for a 20+ yard reception... not saying its a fluke or anything, but come on.

It's going to be a tough game this weekend, but I feel confident after going into the Packs house.

And the 49ers only points came off field goals following a muffed punt, a dropped INT, and an INT thrown by Cam. You guys had less than 50 yards of offense and zero points the entire second half. Panthers could have won 3-0.

Am I misremembering, or wasn't Rodgers closer to the bottom at one point?

He's still a mediocre QB, who is barely clutch. Even more so on the biggest stage, unlike Rodgers. I'll take Rodgers with a decent defense 100% of the time, over Kap with the same defense. You would too, unless you are lying to yourself.

Yeah but they didn't have the equivalents to Jerry Rice and Kellen Winslow!!!

Bowser or one of you Carolina weirdos.

Tell me about Eric Ebron. I've seen him fall to the Packers in some mocks.

The only game I saw him play was their bowl game (because who the fuck watches NC football??) and he dropped an easy TD then got hurt.

Total Packer TE material.

Per my twitter(which is mostly dolphins news/media) chances seem to be coming to front office as well as new OL coach and QB coach. I hope they don't forget about that defense either though, which was terrible all year.

Dude had all day to throw save for the couple sacks GB lucked into getting. That and the open field his receivers often had around them it was like watching Week 1 all over again. Frustrating because I feel like GB hung with them a lot better this season's matchups than the two games last season. Lessen the mistakes made and the outcomes may have been different. May have.

Looking forward to the draft.
yeah, stings less than last season considering the expectations, but definitely disappointing knowing they were in it until the end

in terms of momentum for a playoff run you couldn't ask for a better scenario (team health aside)

Gimme that Dix
YES!

He did drop an easy TD, but uh, I don't think you know what you're talking about. He played the whole game and finished with 7 rec for 78 yards. He was the only guy on the team that had more than 4 rec in the game.

He's a complete TE that can stay in and block as well as catch passes. I equate him to a mini/poor man's Graham. He had nearly 1,000 yards this year and 3 TDs and would have had more TDs if we didn't run so much at the goal line. He should have won the award for best TE this year, but they gave it to that Washington doofus as sort of a "career achievement" award.

He banged up his shin or something and came out for two plays I believe. Maybe only one? I don't know, it was on the same series I think and it made me laugh because I was only watching it for him. He obviously did come back in.

Ah ok. I thought you were saying he dropped the TD, then got hurt shortly thereafter and left for the duration of the game.

Supposedly Packers QB coach (former TE coach) McAdoo is getting requests for OC interviews.

Weird. I think Rodgers would be happy. He was not a McAdoo fan.

They gave the award for best TE to the best TE! The horror!

Firing the GM without firing the coach, or making the coach fire his OC then firing the GM only to have the new GM fire the coach. Whole shit is backwards as fuck which frankly isn't surprising for the Dolphins.
Oh, okay. Yeah I can agree with that. Ross is an idiot. When he first took ownership of the team he only cared about celebrity endorsements and dumb crap like that. Eventually he figured out the best way to push the product is to create a franchise that wins consistently, but he has no idea how to do that.

Expect plenty of :jnc-worthy moments surrounding the Dolphins in the coming weeks years my lifetime.

Boldin + Crabtree + VD is infinitely superior to Boldin + Bionic Manningham + Vance McDonald.

Thems just the facts.

Jon Baldwin, Kyle Williams, Marlon Moore, AJ Jenkins, Quinton Patton. These were Kap's primary targets opposite a 34 year old Boldin being double/triple teamed the majorily of the season.

VD missed some time too, and people wonderd why Kaep didn't light it up every week.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Gruden was asked specifically if he'd interview with Lions/if they asked, said "I don’t know about that one." Said he go to Minn, Ten, Wash

The play that haunts me is the fumble by Graham. NFLN broke it down frame by frame and it looked like his knee hit right as Cole hit the ball out of his hand. If he had been called down then that should have stood, but since it was a fumble that should have stood. I dont see how that ref saw enough to say it was totally conclusive to over turn it. Oh well Eagles still should have won if not for Foles starting out so slow. You cant do that against good teams.

Personally I thought he was down and while the ruling on the field was a fumble, the reversal made sense.

The D did give up tons of yards but ultimately held them to FGs. Can't fault them too much. Even came up with a few INTs. The lack of any pass rush was disappointing though. That's two weeks in a row where the opposing QB has had no real pressure at all. If Brees threw two bad INTs with no pressure, imagine how much worse he could have been had we any pass rush. That said again the D did as well as it could. Held Colston and Graham in check.

Its the offense that really let us down. Slow start by Foles yes but he just seemed lost at times. He got great protection by the OLINE but just stood there. The ball has to come out fast. Either throw it quickly, find the RB in the flats, or take off. Even if you only pick up 1-2 yards while running its better than taking terrible sacks which kick you out of field goal range. He did play better later on but we needed a hot start. NO started off slow as well and we could have put them away if we came out firing.

Chip too gets the blame. I just didn't get the gameplan. The two best and most explosive players on the team barely got the ball until the end of the 3rd quarter. Yes Desean probably had good coverage on him but it seemed liked Foles didn't even look his way. I don't know if was designed so he would be a decoy but over these past few weeks I am sick of him being used on every fake in the world only to not get the ball. Give him the fucking ball in space and he can work some magic. Case in point? That 2 yard crossing pattern which he took for a first down because he can out run everyone. If the offense is stagnant, they should automatically try to get the ball into his hand on quick short passes to see if he can break something.

Where were our TEs? Why wasn't McCoy getting carries? Where was the screen game? All the things that made our offense successful were ignored. I know the Saints D did a fantastic job but you can't tell me they were so good that they could cover every single weapon we had. It was either piss poor scheming or Foles just not finding the open guy. Starting the 3rd quarter with back to back 3 and outs is disgraceful.

Our game plan should have been to pound the ball no matter what. But no it was Foles dropping back over and over, taking sacks, and McCoy and Desean barely getting the ball. And I hate to say it a couple of times during the game I was wishing Chip would have put in Vick just to shake it up. Vick at least on those plays where no was open would have taken off for big chunks of yards.

Still they had a chance to win. Saints just played better and more plays. But that Cooper play. Could have changed the game completely.

Kap had some amazing games this season. His stats doesn't show that or blow anyone away, but some of his plays is as clutch as you can get compared to anyone else in the league. That final drive in that Arizona game is underrated.
