Is that even plausible at this point? All they've been saying since E3 or whatever is that it's "Halo on Xbox One"... It would be a bit odd for it to be out on 360 too. *shrugs*

Money makes it plausible. But using it to push console sales for the bone is a good reason to keep it exclusive.

Let's just hope halo 5 isn't on 360 AND the bone.

Just the tip has whole new meaning.

I don't think it would be possible. Halo 4 already technically pushed the system to the limit. And even then, if they're going for 60 FPS as well, it would probably look like shit on the Xbox 360.

Here's hoping they put a lot of thought into a nice bundle. Many people have gone ps4, and many are still waiting for next gen. If Halo 5 shapes up to be a great game, they could really push sales of the console/bundle.

Can't wait for that first substantial multiplayer info drop. Halo is not my online gaming "everything" anymore (I got CSGO now (and learning Dota 2)) so I'll be able to just sit back with some popcorn empanadas and enjoy the show.

How many sleeps for Halo Xbox one news Frankie? I think everyone here at HaloGAF is getting a bit anxious for some news.
Yeah and it is not because I want Halo 5 now, it is more because I already think hyping in march is too late to start and people have to know at least something.

Also stupid I will not be able to watch the Halo 2 speedrun, damn workingtimes

If it werent for halo 4, the world would be so hyped for a new halo right about now.
I'm more interested in the TV show at this point. There's so much potential in the Halo universe for a great TV drama, but fuck if I know how they're going to draw on that. It should be interesting to see, regardless of which it way it goes.

I dunno, March doesn't seem that bad for first information.

It's more of the whole information drought afterwards that's annoying... I'm looking at you, Halo 4. You gotta keep a fair bit under wraps, that's understandable. But the delivery of information needs to be a little more consistent, IMO.

Whatever that means. Halo 4 is an improvement over Reach in some respects, though overall I'd probably call Reach roughly just as technically impressive, and even Halo 3 totally and completely wipes the floor with Halo 4 in some technical respects. A large amount of optimization that happens late-gen is more compromization than anything else. A lot of the added polish is dependant on state-of-the-art techniques, but as often as not there are tradeoffs and transparent shenanigans to it, especially when you go about smashing it into an old platform.
And even if there was some magical technical improvement barrier that everyone smashed into exactly eight years into a console's lifetime, it's not like that would be the deciding factor in publisher decisions; the platform will have, for a long time, been extremely weak for what it was anyway.

Modern engines tend to be extremely scalable...

And even then, if they're going for 60 FPS as well, it would probably look like shit on the Xbox 360.

...and framerate parity is not something that necessarily has to occur between platforms. See: BF4.

Cross-platform Halo 5 is something that they could have mapped out if they'd really wanted to. Will they? Almost certainly not, but they could have.

Woohoo! Can't wait. Just finished watching Extracted on Netflix. Pretty good flick. Poses some interesting questions about the nature of memory/knowledge and a decent sci-fi story overall.

Been designing a game in Spark for a few hours today. Slowly coming along as I get used to the myriad interface options and the way things interact/variables are kept/manipulated. Overall, much potential. I'm not a fan of the microtransactions galore that have taken over every MS game venture lately though.

But seriously, Spark Forge would be amazing.

I really dislike the controls for kb+mouse for prject spark.

And they really need to push ozt a different setting package, you can't do that much with only medieval fantasy stuff
