I dont doubt MS will somewhat press 343i to release the game this year, The xbox one have something interesting after Titanfall this year?

I hope they give us a teaser trailer soon with the new name. I need my fix of Halo (5) news; I'm getting a tad bit anxious.

That dude will come around. 60fps is ideal now that games are so fast and so graphically dense.

30fps seemed better back during Halo 2 bare textured, basic geometrically shaped maps, now it just doesn't cut it.

Must be just me but if (stable)30FPS means that we'll be getting big campaign maps back without the quadrillion glass walls/dead zones. I'll take that over the 60FPS.

Maybe 343i can do the same as what GG did. Campaign 30FPS and Multiplayer 60FPS. Only make the multilpayer really 60FPS and not some roller coaster of ups and downs like KZ:SF has.

I prefer if it was fall 2015 for Halo 5 but who knows it may still get delayed like Halo 2 did. They really need an ample amount of time to get it right after how Halo 4 turned out.

Why? Why in the world would you want this?? The game could take 7 years to come out but that doesn't mean it'll be good lol - The sooner the better IMO, considering now they can patch/update things much more efficiently.

Halo and Smash have to come out this year!

Well if we take a quick look at Battlefield 4, you should see hundreds of reasons why games shouldn't just be released as soon as possible. And I am a little worried another Halo game is coming out, 2 years from the last one, when most major Halo games take 3 years to create.

The only thing I can think of is that the next Halo game isn't going to be a major one like Halo 5, rather a side game similar to Halo 3:ODST or Halo:CEA.

I defend you frequently. but just having the game come out piecemeal is stupid. they should try to make the most complete product instead of having to resort to patching a game that could have used far more time in the lab.

More time is definitely more beneficial. The sooner the worst, you realize you basically said you are ok with releasing a game broken and then rely on patches right? Also there are things that patches can't fix. You are focusing on multiplayer only and not the whole package as a whole.

We're talking about an entire year here, not just a few months to get most of the things worked out. 343 has been working on this game for several years now, and a smaller team has been doing engine work apparently before Halo 4 shipped, no?

As for the bolded, I can use that in my favor because Halo 2 was a mess when it shipped (a terrible mess, let's not forget), Halo 3 had many issues (remember that melee?) and Reach.. Well, let's not talk about how "fun" Reach was to a majority of the fanbase.

That being said, Bungie =/= 343 and I think after 10+ years of Halo existing and the comments Frankie has made about the game being played would lead to a perfectly fine launch later this year.

EDIT: The design of the next Halo (multiplayer at least) shouldn't be as laborious as previous titles because they should hopefully be going back to basics. And regarding that engine work comment, many people here even said that it's entirely possible for them to be far along.

Never said that. I was implying that worst case scenario, they can patch whatever needs fixing a lot sooner than what we saw with Halo 4. I also don't see it being worse than Halo 4's launch considering they've had a "full" team for a while now.

343 has got this in the bag. They already have all the ground work laid out for Halo 5 anyways. Got the Story, Character designs, weapon designs, multiplayer balance, player movement, etc all pretty much done. They have a lot of stuff they don't need to create this time around, like in Halo 4.
