Don't worry Hasney you can share mine. Have you got a massive ethernet cable?

I've had no complaints at the length of my ethernet that's for sure.

I've got a 100m one from my desktop to the router and just need to get a shorter one for my laptop... Or get an 802.11ac USB adaptor

Hahahaha I've got a 75m one that ive trunked to the wall and brought down the stairs to the router due to wifi not really working brilliantly with the stupidly thick cotswold stone walls we've got at home. Need to get some powerline adapters.

Some of you might remember Grief's Twitter campaign about more Sega PC ports. To finally get this somewhere, Taro was finally able to put the petition up and now we obviously need every signature we can get.

It would be great if SteamGAF could be part of this.

i just don't want to play the ps3 bayonetta port anymore, why must you torture my soul sega

Picked up the Amazon GTA pack for cheap just to see if the US keys would add separate entries on my library from my AUS versions (they don't sadly) so the keys came up with 'product already registered'. All except Vice City which activated as Grand Theft Auto: Vice City New Audio NA (WW). "Shit, it's over-ridden my original Vice City with the new version with some songs cut out" I think. But I booted up VC and the missing songs were still in my copy. Strange, guess I just wasted a Vice City key for nothing. Oh well, as long as I don't get robbed out of my original musically un-cut version.

It's night and day. PS3 version is fine but 60fps+ and 1080p+ makes this game pop like nobodies business. Plus it's not very demanding and if you got a 120/144hz monitor that can downsample you can get so stellar performance and visuals. Plus despite it's detractors I'm quite liking it story and gameplay. Feels like a very William Gibson x Luc Beson kind of affair.

Yeah, it's pretty cool in a silly way. Like an 80s/90s view of The Future™. The Fifth Element was the first thing I thought of for some reason even though they're not really alike. I wonder if I can play it in French :lol

You never know, if they start with those games they might consider porting some of their good ones over.

Yes I know Valkyria Chronicles is excellent and Vanquish was fun and some people like Bayonetta...

Just beat Papers Please. Game definitely got better the farther it progressed. Ended up with ending 19 which I am perfectly happy with. Might try for the other endings in the future. It was definitely worth the 5 bucks it cost during the steam sale. My only disappointment was I sort of wish it went a bit deeper into you knowing your family and the nation of Arstoka.

If you're going that length you'll want to definitely make sure your using a Cat 5e cable.

Stream Steam is going to be 'fun' when I get home for sure.

Hhmph, it will be so unfun for me. Dreamed about it for months and it is released when I'm in the middle of moving house, have no money for a little htpc, and the best spare PC I have has spent the last few months in a cold basement.
I hate my life sometimes. But then I recall it's business as usual...

What if they port crappy console games instead?

Well Resonance of Fate will already fill that quota. It had style but was basically a terrible game.

Actually it isn't on the petition! Which is great. But Valkyria Chronicles is not one of the highlighted three games? That is a bit of a let down.

Eats said he did because he couldn't stand the voice acting. German is always my next go to language as at least I vaguely understand whats being said (well in my awful school boy German). Then again you're from the land of a million languages so...

I've got a whole host of junk I'm going to try it out on. I don't think any experience is going to be fun but trying to Stream HD fotage to an old laptop and a 2006 iMac. nether of which can handle 720p video I'm sure something's going to break.

I basically bought a PS3 for the sole purpose of replaying or finishing some of the SEGA games but I still signed the petition and would be there for most if not all games at launch.

Only some of the best games of the last generation.

Well, my French isn't exactly perfect so I have no idea how I will do. I just figured that the script might be better since DONTNOD is a French team. Plus, I might not even tell if it's terrible as I'd struggle to understand it anyway. I hope there's some decent language options in the PC version.

It seems like I won GTA3. Now I need Vice City and IV + expansion :)

Thanks

Ok, so with the Bohemia Bundle I'm at 502 games on Steam. Buuutt the badge is still the '250' one and mentions 499 games. Normal ? Any explanation ?
In fact I would prefer it not to be a bug and have the leisure to buy a really great game for the 500th one. Only problem is that Might & Magic 3-5 and Planescape are not on Steam !

Edit : Oh sorry, my profile is indeed at 499. Cool, would have felt bad passing the 500 mark with fuckin Fish Filets.

I'll probably stick to something shorter, just long enough for me to be able to drag it upstairs.

Powerline adapters have really come down in price now. You can get a decent set for around £20-£30. Providing your upstairs and the socket where your router is closest to are on the same electrical ring you're golden. Saves having cables everywhere

English, French, German, Italian and Spanish with subs for all of them and 5 others. Really well supported which is unusual in this day and age. I've had no gripes with the translation or voice acting so far but then again I watch some really awful indie flicks.

I got a key to Two Brothers from toddhunter. I told him that I have it already, if he is ok with it you can have it. Then you will get your 500 games badge

Edit: Nvm, seems like the key is gone from the steam chat. You can ask toddhunter if he can you the key. Say hi from me :)

Anyone know if they plan on adding streaming client support to the mobile app? It brings the added complexity of having to map touch inputs somehow but I think it would be awesome to have the option.

I think my mom actually has two of those lying around, I wonder if she still uses them. Time to find out!

Hey, SteamGAF is best GAF, as always ! But nope, thanks but I have it already. In fact I'm in no rush to fill this spot, gonna think hard about a worthy addition and savor the thing a little.

Only thing that might be a bit of a problem might be latency. Then again that will largely depends on the wiring in your house (I can't say for any other country but in the UK the standards has been massively improved from the '60's onwards and even more so in 2007).

I've not had any issues streaming films of such over my ancient houses cabling but I doubt it would be good for 16ms ie required for 60fps though that's a case by case basis. But hey that's why there's a beta so we can test this stuff out.

I'm stuck again in The Swapper :( I can feel I'm really close to the end now... I think...

This is the room I'm stuck in.
It really looks like there's no way to go past the red lights? There's no switch or anything, so... I'm perplexed :|

edit: if you know the solution please don't give it, I'd only want a hint at most :p I've been stuck before and found a way to un-stuck myself! Even though I suspect that in several cases I kinda found a solution that wasn't the one I was supposed to use...

Dunno about the gameplay but it looks really nice

I was about to post this and it's a real shame it hasn't been greenlit long ago while other trash went through easily, even games that'll never get finished. DtD isn't the greatest thing ever but it deserves some love for the visuals alone and the gameplay is solid.

Played some Remember Me which I got from PS+. Seems like an alright game with fantastic art direction, great soundtrack and some silly writing. I think I'd rather play it on PC though, it has some serious hiccups at times.

The PC version is sooo smooth (and pretty!!!). it's worth waiting for. Playing it at 1440p/60fps is a must.

I thought you were all about the 21:9 for third person games these days? ;p

Saying that wide angled shots from Remember Me would blow the art direction from most games out the water.

Holy shit, right now my new PC is in a courier deposit 30 km (several miles, for the US fellas) north of my house, waiting to be delivered!

And holyshit^2, I won't get the GPU before Sunday afternoon, so I'll have to start my new gaming life tomorrow night playing Spelunky on an Intel HD 4600!

Hope adding a proper card after installing everything else (including some games) won't screw up something!

Also, just to know: how you guys are handling the SSD+HDD configuration?
It makes some actual sense to install Steam on the SSD and setup 2 library folders, one on the SSD and one on the HDD, or it's better to just put everything on the HDD?

Perfect. Now the wait for a sale begins.

This reminds me that I need to upgrade my 1080p display :/
