I felt the same when I was a Junior, I felt the same when I was a lurker (for months), I feel the same as a Member.

Using Junior as an insult is weak.

I think people join GAF with a preconceieved notion of how GAF really is. I've survived based on an old user name. I was banned once under that name two weeks before PS3 launched, learned my lesson. There must be many who join GAF angry imo. If anyone notices, many, not all, outside GAF continually lumps GAF into the same Sony boat.

This happens regardless if the poster is constructive and has legitimate points. Thus the hive mind becomes real for them. One of the biggest mistakes they make is, not reading the threads, that give an overall feel of whom thinks what. I know we all are guilty of this at times, I get it. What I'm saying is, try to, Read At Least Some Of The Pages Of Threads you plan to participate in, if your new junior/member. Try to pay attention to whom gets listened to and then ask yourself why. If your anngy, don't post if you plan on staying. Better to cut off your hands, less they offend thee.


Again, 4th time, I think. GAF was like this during PS3/Sony debacle. GAF was just smaller but every bit as ruthless.

Tomb Raider is the kind of game that benefits more from detail clarity than frame rate smoothness, so I'm at least glad that they kept the game at 1080p on Xbox One, rather than drop the rez down to achieve frame rate parity.

Full price seems fair to me, it's a full fledged game with upgrades from the last version, now on previously unavailable hardware.

Setting aside whether the effort they put into this version warrants the price tag or not, the biggest issue here is that it's releasing about a year after the first release. I'm not convinced many who bought the game already would want to buy it again which if true would leave those who didn't buy the game in the first place. A lower price tag would have definitely been more enticing.

On the positive side this is coming in a time period where new releases are scarce so that could definitely help. Time will tell

If they locked the framerate at 30fps, I would find it quite acceptable, if I owned an X1. I don't like a variable framerate at the 30-45fps range at all. Lock that shit down, a consistent framerate feels and looks smoother because of all the damn judder. If PS4 can hold above 50fps most of the time, then that is acceptable. Drops of 60 to ~50, I can deal with.

I just called my local gamestop and it looks like there's no street date on this. she said its going to be in stock tomorrow and that i can pick it up, if they had stock today I could have bought it today.

guess we'll find out soon enough!

If you're paying close enough attention, any drop from the refresh rate is easily noticeable. I can notice a drop from 60fps to 59fps on my PC, without FRAPs. It's a curse, not a blessing.

Unfortunately that account was lost. Tried contacting the mods through email and nothing. The account wasn't permabanned. Tried signing in one day after using the account after the ban and couldn't. I believe they had moved servers and lost some accounts.

Hey if I get banned such is life.

I can notice it too, but 60 to 50ish is tolerable for me. And yes, FRAPs and on-screen GUIs are a fucking curse.

Yeah, I was just playing Metal Gear Rising and was totally fine with it dropping down to 50 or so during Blade Mode, because... well, Blade Mode is awesome. The slowdown actually helped me line up the cuts better.

As an Xbone fan I personally don't care that much anymore about the 1080p/30FPS deal mainly because I don't see a difference between 30/60 unless they are right next to each other. Is the gap really that big though polygon wise? I mean 1.5 is not that big or am I underestimating it?
