I was worried that we'd seen the last of the malevolent one, but if she's going to feature regularly in the spin-off volume then it promises to be just as entertaining as the main story.

On Sabo's right eye underneath the sun glasses lense is a scar

So... I was right! ( I said Sabo would have a scared face) but of course we don't know how he got it... I believe he received it by the canon fire from the Government ship that was suppose to kill him

The sword's name is Durnadal. It's probably not cursed.

Great set-up as always. I really hope we get to see the ring fight and it isn't off-screened. I would flip if we cut back and Sabo was standing as the sole victor, dayuuuuum.

Mingo realizing his perceptions aren't up to date was good, and Diamante's weird ass devil fruit power is interesting...wondering how that'll play out.

Chances are Zoro will take on Pica leaving Mingo for Luffy, but what happened to Kin'emon?

Dofla realizing that underestimating the Straw hats is a bad idea. Chapter builds the hype can't wait for next week!

Naruto

Seeing Naruto and Sasuke breathe their last breath as Medara laughs in the background may be one of the best moments in Naruto history. Then watching the support cast run up for slaughter made me giddy as a school girl. Great chapter

Now that Oda has introduced a way for the combatants to eat the fruit before the battle is over/a winner is declared, I'm going to assume Sabo will defeat the fighting fish with the fruit and eat it. This will solve the Burgess situation, since he will no longer have a need to battle/will probably leave the arena and Oda is prevented from having to showing Burgess' strength until he fights the Straw Hats. Diamante's ability will also not match well with the Fire Fruit I'm assuming, so Sabo should be able to beat him and then hand Rebecca the overall win by leaving the stadium with his prize.

Was that accurate? I didnt know they died of a heart attack if they died in game assuming that was what that page showing the person dying of when it flashed from fencer-san to the hospital and back to the game.

An ok chapter otherwise, but felt like a really weak staging one where next to nothing happened. Should be in for an interesting fight next week.

Here come the big boys (and girls)!

I'm glad Oda's ratcheting up the act now and we are finally getting a good glimpse at DF's forces. Would have loved more on the coliseum, but there's tons to cover to begin with. I also find it crazy that Kinemon has already disappeared after entering the castle. A pretty good chapter, but Oda's just getting warmed up.

Pica looks like an absolute monster with that Devil Fruit ability.... Would be funny though if Luffy just uses a Giant Pistol to destroy him in one panel like he did that door, but obviously that won't happen.

I love it when Luffy barges in like that. Also, Doffy freaking out over the Sabo switch, haha. Maybe he's even thinking it wasn't Luffy all along.

Lao-G is amazing too! Freaking puts on glasses to see who's charging at him :lol that guy's great. He's great.

I was under the impression it was a cardiac arrest the same way the heart stops doing things when your head gets blown off, you can see his head on fire too in line with the given "Destroy your brain" explanation.
