To be fair, Microsoft also said the first Halo for Xbox One was coming in 2014, and most were assuming it would be Halo 5. According to this, they were just twisting things and it's not Halo 5 but this rehash. I took all the dates with a grain of salt because I didn't believe they'd be releasing Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and Halo 5 within a couple months of each in the latter part of 2014. It didn't make sense quite frankly so I was expecting something to be off. Of course, the mistake seems to be that there is no Halo 5, but a different Halo, so the other two can fit in fine.

Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and D4 could all hit this year.
But they already announced more 2014 AAA games than MS? Not sure why this "only has indie games" notion is going around just because they indies, F2P, and retail games coming.
I also don't know why indie games are being dismissed when they're moving to the mid-tier levels and aren't basic 16 bit or 2d games any more. Rime is an open world 3d adventure game, is that "indie trash"?

I'm all in for an action shooter that has Jet Grind Radio-like aesthetics.

The first poster was complaining about MS announcing Gears, Halo, Fable, Forza as if Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive didn't exist.
Insomniac's attempt at a shooter horribly failed with Fuse. It's a bit different but I can see why people are skeptical regarding this one.

Meh, I'd rather trust at least a 'year' rather than make assumptions that devs actually have nothing more than a vertical slice.
I understand launch dates can slip, but until that slip is confirmed, QB was always 2014 for me.
Fable Legends, otoh, 2015 makes sense.
We haven't seen any footage thus far. Not even the announcement trailer looked like in game footage- what is their to be excited about in regards to the game? It could very well be another Fuze.

I didnt say Rime was indie trash I really want to play that I have a PS4 to play it. But there is alot of indie games that I simply did not but a 400$ system to play thats all.

They do count man, I am talking about these leaks in particular. Other than more Halo and Forza we got nothing surprising which is why I think a lot of people feel it was rather boring.
MS says they're committed to new IPs yet none of their studios seem to actually be doing anything about it

I was thinking the same thing. Feels like Operation Find CBOAT.
I still remember my reaction to MS E3 2013 conference, the only thing I liked was Sunset .. the only thing however that's holding me back is that Insomniac is developing it. You could have picked any other dev, ANY other dev and I'd be more looking forward to it than I'm right now.
I don't think a random forum leak would be a time to mention or detail a new IP. That's the kind of thing that benefits greatly from a random reveal.
Yeah, I'm still not really anticipating it yet. Need to see it in action.
Especially if it's coming with the white console and its own controller, that seems like pretty heavy pushing.

The concept? Insomniac are a good developer, they sought freedom from Sony owning everything they did (and trying incredibly unsuccessfully to chase the halo money with resistance in a series that completely lacked its own identity).
They went to ea who seemingly didn't support their vision for fuse and came out and said they are happy to have a publisher that supports their vision for what they want to do.
Seems like development is going well enough to confirm it for 2014, it's a new ip and from the announcement trailer looks a bit different in style

If this shit is true than that means what frankie or other 343 employee via Twitter was teasing about a new and improved true skill based ranking system will be for Halo 2 Anniversary rather than Halo 5 from what we thought in the OT18 or 19 thread...

Speaking of super secret leaks I have heard rumors that EA is working on the next Fifa/Madden, there are also talks about continuing the Battlefield franchise though we might not see BF5 until 2015/16.
