Resident Evil 4 is a cinematic shooter and one of the best games ever. Being a shooter or being cinematic says nothing about the actual quality of the game.

I'd rather have two third person games than two FPSes. And this seems hugely different in setting and tone from uncharted, and they seem to be arriving with plenty of space between them so I have no issue with having both.

I can name a ton of cinematic shooters that have better gameplay than Lord of Shadows, which doesn't hold a candle to the God of War games, including those from Ready at Dawn, let alone deeper combat games like Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden or the classic and even more recent Metroidvania's.

I really hope nose-picking is an actual mechanic present in the game outside of cutscenes. I don't want this to be just another pretty shooter.

Going from that synopsis, my guess on the plot:

Our team uncover a plot by higher ranking knights/ruling class to use The Order not just to exterminate the half-breeds but also to wipe out the seditious working classes. They is over this right at the end if the game in an epilogue scene setting the sequel up.

I hope so anyway - I have no desire to play a game where I'm a patsy enforcing the will of the ruling class.

Dat facial hair. Finally able to live my real life fantasies in a game. (The remaining one anyway... Saint's Row 3 took care of the rest).

Not convinced by having female characters in a game where facial hair features so prominently.

Game is barely on my radar as of yet, purely because they haven't shown much.

But the art and the setting, man, I love it.
Can't wait for a good 3 minute trailer.

I've come to the conclusion that Shinobi is a very evil dude who knows much more than he let's on and does not share that knowledge. He pretends to be yang but he's really the darkest yin. Just look at his avatar!

I expect to be blown away by the graphics thanks to the extra horsepower given to the devs with the aspect ratio chosen. If I have to deal with those giant black bars, it better look amazing.

It is not hard to assume the same. Destination PlayStation event is coming this month and then GDC is following it in March. Microsoft is also expected to show their 2014 line-up during similar time-frame, as revealed by Insider 'ntkrnl'. I am sure Sony won't leave this chance to introduce us to their 2014 line-up and i think The Order: 1886 is definitely a part of it.

IMO, Feb/Mar = 2014 line-up announcements and reveal. E3, 2014 = 2015 announcements and live demo for a couple of end of the year titles.
