We've been following the Sudeki app on the registry for quite some time now. Development stopped a few months ago on it, so we thought it was dead.

I added one of the PR managers of Climax Studios on Twitter and got a reply back from a DM.

Also, no more burly guy in headphones, not so great news. :(

Buying a tower defense game for my dad. Best option for beginners?

Late answer but still!

I've read other answers suggesting Defense Grid, Kingdom Rush or Anomaly (I haven't played Pixeljunk Monster so I dunno), and probably I'm just assuming that your dad is barely-gaming-friendly like mine, but I must say that none of those options are really "entry level" games.

I mean, Kingdom Rush is kinda easy at first but then the difficulty level become somewhat steep, especially if you don't like experimenting upgrades and combos of tower abilities.
Defense Grid can be extra bastard in those "free placing" levels, even if when mastered they become the funniest.
Anomaly is a "reverse" tower defense, so it's maybe appreciated more by experienced tower defense players.

So, all in all, I must say Plants vs. Zombies is the easiest to begin with - and also for me is the best game overall of these listed here.

But then again, the flash version of Kingdom Rush is available for free, so he could just give it a try and see if it's fine for him.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
Longbow got back to me, suggesting that I register my Steam copy of Hegemony Gold on their site and they'd add Philip of Macedon to my (Longbow) account. As nice a gesture as that is, I responded reiterating why I'd like a Steam key in particular and again mentioned that I'd be happy to buy another copy of the Gold Edition as thanks, however I have a feeling that the answer is going to be "no". As disappointing as that would be, even if I wanted to I couldn't blame them for not indulging the pleas of a crazy person.

Holy fuck slouken works att Valve now?! I always wondered where he went. He used to be _the guy_ when it came to UI-stuff in WoW at Blizzard and was very active on their forums. Now that I think of it, it was several years ago. Cool to see him at Valve :)

Steam desktop client redesign confirmed?

Looks like there will be a Steam Music announcement soon.

They're doing invitations by random and not first come first serve anymore? Boo.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

This gives me hope that maybe Valve does recognize and eventually hire good UI talent.

Thought i'd post it here, does make some good points if a tad hyperbolic

The state of Steam is equivalent to the 80s video game console crash? Yeah, just a tad hyperbolic.

I'll gladly do a few minutes more research on a Steam game if it means more games (good and bad) get through to a large audience.

He's a reviews editor -- his job literally exists because people read up on games before they buy them.

Meet Steam Music

Listen to your music collection while you play games

Steam Music will soon be in limited beta as a feature of SteamOS and Big Picture mode, with a desktop interface to follow.

Beta participants will be randomly selected from members of this group. Join now to express your interest in participating, and as always, please share your thoughts and feedback in the discussions once you've given Steam Music a try.

That is a very cool system.

Gives people on SteamOS an easy way to listen to their tracks during gaming or just easy listening.

Valve is just pushing value for their operating system. Need to listen to music or stream TV shows? SteamOS will handle it. Play a game that isn't available on Linux? In-home streaming. Don't own a game? Family Share.

Oh godammit Anna Sing. How many times have I saved your ass now? Your real name is Princess Peach isn't it? I bet you like it rough like her too huh? Pervert.

Question about Metal Slug 3:
Can you assign one key or button so it's rapid-fire instead of mashing the button/key?

I hope Steam Music is integrated into Steamworks so open world games can easily integrate my music for a custom radio, rhythm games can pull it in, etc.

btw given the info steamdb dug up I thought this would be about Spotify

edit: oh

And yes, Spotify support still seems to be on the way. #SteamMusic

I wonder if there's an option to have Steam broadcast what you're listening to, to your friends list, like the MSN Winamp plug-ins of old.

Pretty nice feature now that I think about it, I never listen to music when I play games (or never play when I listen to music) but well implemented music interface on something I have always on sounds like a nice idea.

There is autofire on the options.

I think it's no coincidence that GTA V is on its way to Steam. Rockstar has obviously been waiting for Steam Music to be done before releasing it.
