Nice to see MS3 among the top 10 best sellers for the day =D

In all honesty, I'd much rather have the whole MS collection. MS3 is the best, that's for sure, but it feels weird to start with that.
Totally buying the game though, port may be wonky (its .emu, so that's a given), but still, SNKP needs to get off their asses and release the rest of their back catalogue.

Finally got my HDD with all my steam games on it!'
First thing I did was boot up RE6 and see how well it could run on this PC. Surprisingly if everything is on low and I set the resolution to 640x480 I can run it at 30FPS just fine. What an awesome port QLOC is the best. I think I might even be able to up the resolution and keep the performance to.

that latest bundlestars bundle is a personal success, I had none of the games!

All I care about is KoF 98/2k2 UM.
Sengoku 3 and Shock Troopers 1 & 2 would be nice as well.

They can keep the rest.
(I also don't like MS3. I recognize it as the peak of the series, but I don't like it)

Smooth frame rate goes a long way when it comes to combat and platforming.

wouldnt mind playing it again on a nice build of the game. I played through the ps3 version thinking "great game. if only it ran faster than 10 fps and wasnt a jaggy looking mess"

yeah I really should replay DmC too once I could pick it up for cheap, I'm kind of glad I skipped on so many games on the console.

Well, after reading the Steam forums and seeing the devs say that this version of the game is about 2 years old and they have a new Steamworks version on the way, I can wait. But I hope they use the same app (to satisfy my collector OCD)

Yeah, I'm a little concerned about this myself. If I had a Twitter account I'd ask.

I decided to send an e-mail. I must know! ;)

Agreed, SNK need to stop with the single releases on every system like they did this gen. Compilation releases or bust.
Anyways I take it MS3 doesn't have a 2 pack? If not I'll still get it but on the 6th or when DD Neon goes up for pre-order.

How's A Walk in the Dark? It looks like a mashup of every popular indie platformer from the past few years.

You would be correct. Short version:

Going in I had very different expectations for the title. The screens promised typical indie platforming with a nimble cat protagonist. I also expected some sort of dark and foreboding story through long levels that ultimately didn't go anywhere. In reality, there is a little bit of story there but the game didn't seem to think it was important so I won't dwell on it either. What does matter is how it plays and this is where I got something quite different.

You take the before mentioned artwork of Limbo, add in short Super Meat Boy type levels and just when you are getting used to the game it becomes VVVVVV before cycling back through once again. It is a strange sort of mashup given the heritage is so obvious, but strangely the game doesn't really offer anything new. If you have played those games you should know what to expect here and very little more. The levels are short, if you die it is back to the start and pretty much anything you touch will kill you. Rinse and repeat, perhaps trying to get a better time until you are done.

To make up for the lack of ideas the rest of the package needs to be exemplary. A walk in the dark doesn't do the worst job in terms of presentation and the sound and music are as good as you might expect from a modern indie game. It is just that there isn't much else to see or do. The cat (only) has a light collecting mechanic as you speed through levels. But unless you are particularly obsessive there doesn't seem to be a lot of point in beating the arbitrary times or gathering all the shiny things.

If anything this sums up the whole experience for me. The game is simply "there". The titles the mechanics are based on are quality efforts, so those same things work well here and you do get them all in one game. The controls are fine, if not perfect and the graphics and music do the job.

So overall, I would have to rate this as something I have played.

bad gameplay lol
Man, that Blink Bundle is so good, and it's killing me that I have to pass on it due to responsibilities and being an adult and stuff. =/

Just looked at the Blink Bundle. not bad at all but nothing I can see myself playing.
Will wait and see what the last bonus game is though. However if they keep this quality up they'll be right up there with the best bundle sites.

Anybody know what this is? It mentions Crysis 3 under 'launch'. Been around for 11 months.

I've been keeping an eye on it for yonks and brought it up just yesterday; the short answer is that nobody knows. It's definitely not Crysis 3 as the app id is far too low, but it could be Notepad. :p

Hmm. I have a TF2 weapon (The Big Kill) that's worth 10 keys, and I want to grab myself a copy of South Park that's supposedly worth 10 keys also. What's the best way for me to trade the weapon for keys? Or for the game? I'm fairly new to the whole trading thing.

List it on TF2 Outpost. You'll need to set your inventory to public.

I looked there, but it seems like you can only add 8 items to a trade request, if the weapon's worth 10 keys how do I arrange that?

When I sold my spare copies of Motor Rock I just selected one TF2 key and one Dota 2 key and mentioned the actual price in the post.

Edit: Beaten. Useless phone!

You can write a note below your item trade. Just put 1 key on your want and write that you want 10 keys for your weapon.

Thanks! Didn't realise it was worth about $20, not bad as I don't play TF2 anymore. That Sam & Max season purchase has done me well, sold the Max hat for $100 too.

EpicBundle.com has a page that lists games currently in various bundles.

Has about 100 or so right now, I just do a Ctrl+F to find them. Not sure how comprehensive it is, but it's a fair number.

Well seems the dream is over. South Africa getting a 14% Vat tax on digital good come April.

Kinda wondering how they'll enforce it though.

I finished Dark souls yesterday. What a great game, GFWL almost ruined it for me, but I persevered through it.
So after watching some first impressions for Dark Souls 2, I am looking forward to play it. Are there any good deals for it somewhere?

Is it safe to link up my Steam account with TF2 outpost? Wouldn't mind seeing if I have anything of value.

Yes. The reason Steam's OpenID integration exists is that you can share certain details of your account without compromising security. The only downside to TF2O is that you have to make your inventory public if you're going to list something, which may lead to the occasional random friend request unrelated to what you're selling.

Sweet.

I don't have anything of worth though unfortunately :[

Yeah as Jase mentioned the OpenID stuff is safe.

I'm still waiting for my Skullgirls backer hat goddamn it.

And I don't even play TF2.
I don't care how many whiners there are on the TF2 forum about it, the Leviathan hat looked baller and it's a shame it'll never be in the game.

Crescent Moon got back to me about the whole Paper Monsters thing. The long and short of it is that they don't yet know if they can claim the app Strategy First submitted, and SF hasn't paid them a dime over the past two years.

honorless

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.

Speaking of Scammers First: they're also listed as the publishers of that Sentinel 3 game which also came out yesterday. I wonder if the devs are even aware it's on Steam. There's no mention of it on their site, and they (Origin8) are listed as the publishers of the GamersGate and Shinyloot versions.

...I might tweet at them.

Hmm, well, it and Paper Monsters were added to the registry back-to-back, so it's not looking good. Maybe I'll pick up a few spares -- if I get lucky and the game is pulled I may be able to get my mittens on Paper Monsters after all.

Edit: Origin8 submitted it to Greenlight in August 2012... and it hasn't been greenlit.

Oh I finally have £20 credit in my Steam wallet now.

Still torn on what to buy though. I'm yet to play Paper's Please, Gone Home, and a bunch of other popular titles from last year, but now I see Rust getting popular, Starbound and Rogue Legacy.

Fuck :[

(And I'm too impatient to wait for sales)

Edit: Is it worth investing some of that in keys? I see Starbound offered for 4.5 keys on Reddit etc.

And apparently that works out at around £6.39 (compared to £11.99!)

The only game worth playing on steam at the moment is Ride to Hell Retribution.
Everything else you listed pails in comparison to that.
