2 weeks to the next cinematic trailer - I'm confident it will be good.

We will likely get a release date at E3. Given the game has been running behind schedule, it's probably a 50-50 proposition it ships in 2014. 2015 is real possibility.

Where the hell are you getting this from?

The anus, of course. I've been seeing these no source assumptions presented as facts pretty often here in the last 2 weeks.
people are STILL clinging to the idea that the game is behind schedule due to the huge misunderstanding about the game not appearing at VGX.

the developer already clarified that they didn't put anything together because they weren't asked/scheduled to. HAD they been, they probably would have had something to show. everyone that thinks the game is behind must be assuming they weren't at VGX because they were *unable* to get ready in time.

i think it's also been further exacerbated by others (that know the game isn't behind) using the "well since it's behind..." as a joke in TO1886 threads, not realizing that people that don't know any better will think it's factual, and not sarcasm.

Don't bother. I've posted the mesage from the co-founder of RAD and seen it posted so many times yet people are still claiming that the game wasn't ready to be shown or it's "delayed". Even after Sony confirmed that it was coming out this year there were still people claiming it's a 2015 title. I just don't understand lol. Anyways, here's what he said before VGA and it's pretty obvious that Sony's marketing team didn't want to show it at VGA.

Running behind schedule? First I've heard. Source please.

I wish they don't do this kind of long-ass announcement prior to the actual unveiling of a trailer. It just creates unrealistic expectation of the trailer and if it falls apart, people are going to be more disappointed than they'd have been if they didn't have to wait that long.

Anniucement of embargoes for previews? This is getting bloody ridiculous.

I'm so sick of people saying this. I see it all the time. There's no "announcement" going on. It's a member of the press telling people when the embargo is up. Not everything is so "ridiculous".

It's my opinion, but based on reasonable logic.

SCEWWS has been shifting to a policy of not announcing games too early, like The Last Guardian. They no longer want to reveal games 2 years (24 months) ahead of time. Insiders like Demonite have corroborated that policy.

SCEWWS seems to be aiming at revealing games about 12 months before actual release date. Some of the launch titles (KZ:SF, Knack and Resogun) were less than 12 months due to compressed launch timelines, but others like Infamous:SS and Driveclub will end up in the 12-15 month range. The Order:1886 was revealed in June of 2013. 12 months would put a release in June of 2014. Uncharted 4 was revealed in late Nov. 2013 and some people believe it will ship by Dec 2014, which would put it at 12 months.

At Gamescom 2013 IGN reported The Order: 1886 was a "year or so off" and might be late summer (http://ap.ign.com/en/news/8633/gamescom-2013-ps4-exclusive-the-order-1886-will-launch-in-2014)

The most recent news is now a fall ship date. So some slippage. How much still remains to be seen. Since SCEWWS isn't willing to commit to a ship date yet, the target window is still soft.

Huh? You just said 12-15 months. 15 months puts it in September. Isn't that fall? You are contradicting yourself. Not to mention that your whole argument about 12-15 months is unfounded. Everybody's gone to rapture isn't coming out this year. Guess when it was announced?

1000% agreement. Few things annoy me more than people on GAF totally failing to recognize who is actually saying what in a thread topic. It's up there with the trouble so many people have with the concept of "confirmation". ;)

Infamous:SS and Driveclub were planned as launch titles but had schedule slips and so ended up at 12-15 months. Maybe even longer for Driveclub as we still don't have a firm ship date. There weren't planned that way. Everybody's Gone to Rapture was shown at E3 2013 with the thinking it was a 2014 title, but the most recent rumors point to 2015. Again, likely due to schedule slips.

Schedule slips happen all the time in the game industry, so it's not something to get too upset over. The Order:1886 has the potential to be a wonderful game. I'm looking forward to more info in 2 weeks and hopefully pre-ordering when SCEWWS announces a firm release date.

Hearing RAD talk about the game on the GAme informer podcast it sounded like they were a long ways from finishing the game.

To be fair, he did say "A year or so". It's just that people need to be constantly assured that things are progressing well. Otherwise, there is the unavoidable delay assumption.

Meh, I wanted it now. Seriously, this embargo makes no sense. At least throw a pic or teaser bone ... COME ON

Not all game "journalists" are able to see the game at the same time. This was an event for Europe I guess.

Maybe they will have other events in the next few days.
