My Hero Academia is so damn good

I just binge watched all 63 episodes of it. I am in love with this series. The writing and visuals are fantastic. I cried multiple times. I just had to gush about this. If anyone here is on the fence I would suggest watching it.

I dont want to spoil anything but I can honestly say it's the best series I have ever seen and I cant wait for season 4 :)

Once I discovered the series, I binge watched from episode 1 to the middle of season 3 in about five days. Then I saw the movie in theaters and the crowd was going wild the whole time.

“Aww, it’s so...average,” she said to him in a cold brick of passion
Something we can agree on haha. He has really developed as the series has gone on. He has grown on me quite a bit
Yeah I thought he was gonna be Sasuke 2.0 at first, but he has shown more personality in 3 seasons than Sasuke showed in 10 years lol

His fighting style and acrobatics are badass too. The choreography of the show is top notch.

Lucky haha. I wish I found the show while the movie was in theaters. Have you seen the rest of season 3? Episode 23 holy fuck lol

I thought the same. He seemed like he would turn into Sasuke, thank god he didn't lol

I thought I was going to hate, but I've been surprised on how much I love the show.

I think at first I wasn't going to like it, since shonen jump loves their emo or obnoxious characters, which 99% of Naruto characters are. Though this show has some annoying characters, its still not as bad as one piece or Naruto. Tomura Shigaraki is maybe the most annoying emo character, but at least they don't show him that much. And he just fails at everything he does.

Yeah it's great. Bakugo is my boy.

Agreed. I love how he changes throughout the seasons. The fights versus Uravity and Todoroki are particularly fantastic for how he acts and treats them both (and how he is treated in return). He always seems to get the short end of the stick in the fanbase.

It is great, I started reading the manga, and I still am up to date with it at the moment.

Then I had nothing to watch and the English dub is being simulcasted along side the Japanese release... I have to say, the English dubbing is really bloody good.

The show follows the tropes of any Shonen, but does take it in a way that separates itself that is desperately needed right now. Just saying, we already had Naruto, and I'm so glad this show has taken different steps away from being just another Naruto clone. All the main students feel like main characters in their own rights. It's slow but they each get their own types of characteristics and development that most of the ninja in Naruto didn't receive. It takes different steps with it's rival characters (Bakugo actually sees Kirishima as a friend and not just some tag along and that makes his character all the better). It's just a good series with how it takes all it's inspirations (Shonen and American comic books) and bring them together in a good package. I don't care too much for the beginning of season two though. It was good but the weakest part of the show so far.

My favorite thing about the show is Bakugo, specifically the fact that a sizable portion of the viewership absolutely hates him and every time he bodies their favorite character we get to hear a laundry list of excuses as to why the win isn´t legitimate. "So-and-so would have won if A,B,C. Such-and-such would have won if X,Y,Z". It´s like listening to sports fans try to explain away their favorite team losing.

I also like the character because he´s basically a non-jobber version of Vegeta who talks a lot of shit but actually backs it up instead of just looking like a total pussy all the time.

Unfortunately I hate the artstyle and it also seem like another manga that never has a proper end like 98% *looking at you X-1999 and Berserk*

I might have to check out the anime sometime, I've been told the fights in particular are way more memorable thanks to some nice animation.

I'm up to do date with the manga though and just don't find particularly amazing. It's a fun weekly read but overall just a generic shonen with an annoying main character and decent side cast (except for the rapist in the making one and the other one whose entire character trait is anger management issues that seem to border on being a severe mental health issue)

I watched 4 or 5 episodes and couldn't get into it. I will admit I probably dropped it right when it was going to get good. The kid just got to the school or something.

Yeah I love the show. It captures the essence and appeal of superheroes and what they mean in way that Western comics and most films no longer seem to understand. The amazing supporting cast and fights are just icing on the cake.

Definitely my #2 on going show behind AoT. Really a great watch, definitely Bones' best effort since FMA:B.

One thing that does suck is that VRV and Funimation are splitting ways next month. That means that future episodes of MHA won't be on VRV, which is where I saw all of the previous ones.

For me the dislike has something to do with his voice actor in Japanese. Same VO who did the main character in Bleach (Ichigo Kurosaki) but his performance here is turned up to 10 on loud and obnoxious.

for me one piece still has the worst art. And the most ugly characters. People also don't like Bakugo besides him just being loud all the time, he just wants to fight everyone for no good reason. And he can't work with anyone. While characters like Deku or Tsuyu, can clearly work with anyone, and can actually have well thought out plans.

I can't figure that show out.

It doesn't make sense, kids with superpowers going to regular Japanese-type school to become heroes.

What is hard to understand, they have to get a license to be a hero. You act like this kind of story was never done before with x-men, teen titans, or other young super hero groups. Even avengers and JLA, have mentioned before to younger heroes they need to earn the right to work with them.
