I imagine it's a timed event for the last 2 weeks of Oct with a couple of horror movie themed operator skins. Trailer looks good; I'm excited for it to hit and mix things up a bit.

MW has been great so far. It's a shame that they are launching another CoD so soon. It would be nice to have a 2 year cycle where each release can breathe and grow. I didn't enjoy my time with the new Black Ops so I won't be picking that up anytime soon. I'll stay with Warzone for now and hope it continues to deliver.

Warzone needs weather effects and a time of day mechanic. I'll take a nighttime version of the map but mist, rain, howling winds, maybe thunderstorms/snowstorms etc would be so much better.

Honestly between Blackout few years back and Warzone I haven't cared for the Call of Duty Multiplayer much at all.

This looks VERY cool, from the nighttime modes changing how loadouts are going to be tackled to the zombie modes where you can respawn in after killing a "live" player.

Ive had more fun with MW than any CoD ever and it sucks knowing the standard MP is probably going to get dropped like a hot potato for Cold War. Warzone (and Plunder in particular) will still be fun but I don't know how they're going to integrate Cold War into it exactly.

Oh absolutely, and I’m sure there are more updates coming. But:

“We demand more free content for this free game!”

Yes, there’s MTX as to be expected, but you can quite happily play the game without spending a penny. I don’t think we’re in the position to demand anything of them.

Sorry but World's Edge was absolutely dog shit and killed the game for many players. Certainly did for me, at least.

Acti are doing good things with Warzone and if I still had a PS4 I'd buy the shit out of that saw costume because it's funny as fuck. Imagine a squad of 4 Billy Puppets ganking somebody.

He's Dr Karlov, Verdansk's own "urban legend". He did experiments on people in the Gulag and was obsessed with electricity or something.

I think there's easter eggs around the map referring to him.

How big is this update specifically?

Forgot to leave my fuckin Battlenet open before I left for work this morning 🙄

Going by that trailer I assumed it meant you could fight Leatherface somehow?

I don't know the maps in apex since i got into it late (season 3 or 4 i believe).

They look hilarious. I was hoping for a Jason or Michael Myers one tho lol.

It will, but major changes seem unlikely. Infinity Ward will be working on their next game and a small group will continue to update Warzone with fixes, balancing, and battle pass content.

I'd like a 2nd map. They've proven that the game has legs and so at this point I'd like to see more money and time invested in new content generation. A new map, time of day, weather effects, and 4K60 on PS5/SeriesX and I'll play this for years yet.

That's my understanding. I figured they're going to treat Warzone much like Fortnite where it will be passed along with each iteration from here on out. New content added, etc.

Man, I uninstalled MW2019 awhile back because while I had enough space it was just annoying AF. I'll reinstall to give this a shot though, looks and sounds cool.

I don't care for BRs or anything, but man, I'm wanting to get my Halloween on however I possibly can, lol.

I just wonder how progression will work, because they say Cold War and Warzone will have shared progression again, but if they aren't even the same game engine how would that even work? They would have to design and balance the same weapons and items twice.

Zombies Royale is crazy fun. The charged jump you get as a zombie is perfect! I wish it were werewolves instead actually...

Are the themed supply crates in Verdansk just there for one player to collect per game or can multiple players grab them during say, a Plunder match?

Would like to collect them all but if it's just a mad dash and fight every game I will give up hope now.

Unless I'm mistaken they are random regular-looking crates and specific to you. I don't think it's just one crate per area for everybody.

The zombie mode is so much fun. However, it’s bullshit that to play at night they force us to do trios. Why can’t we play solo or duo?

Tried this out yesterday. Its fun but only for a few matches at a time imo. I found myself going back to regular warzone after a few.

I'd love a night version for normal br.

I wish the night mode was pitch black like the MP night maps and loadouts came with NVG.

But overall I enjoy both game modes and it’s a great free update.

Yeah I had fun. I just ended up going back to MP since I much prefer MP to BR. Though the zombies spin is nice and fun enough for me to come back to

On hardcore, camping is even worse. I enjoy killing campers but lets be honest, there's games where you can't find the fuckers lol. Shoothouse and Shipment are where it's at for me.

There is significantly less complexity in a Fortnite map, though I do get your point. Apex has multiple maps and so should this. PUBG only had a single map for a long while though so while I get that it's frustrating for players, I don't think we should underestimate how much time and effort it takes to put these things together.

I would be happy with one map if it was constantly being worked on and improved. If they had a weather system that could mix things up, or just even a permanent night mode...

My hope is that they will make a new map that contains locations from Black Ops games but I don't know how realistic that is.

In fact, what I would really like is for Warzone to become Infinity Ward's full time project for the next few years. Give us a bunch of maps, ramp up the level complexity and density for next-gen, give us a dynamic weather system and day/night cycles etc. I couldn't care less about single-player CoD and Black Ops isn't for me.

To be fair to Apex, 1) EA don't have that Activision money, 2) Warzone/CoD is much bigger than Apex in terms of brand reach/identity and prolly couldn't get this sort of deal done with the film companies, and 3) this CoD Halloween mode is basically a copy of Apex's Halloween event last year where you dropped in to King's Canyon and became a zombie if you died, having to hunt down players who are still alive. It's pretty much the exact same mode and CoD have just copied it.

I didn't even know Apex was doing something like that, it's a fun idea. Actually looking forward to checking it out on MW. Also, yup, that AAA development in a nutshell, lol. Just copying each other's successes.

I'm glad I didn't miss this thread. I haven't played a single round of Warzone but I'm definitely jumping in for the Zombies BR mode.

Just finished with a win in my last match tonight. Funny since we were like "last one, lets go out with a bang". In the trick or trio, we finished with 24 kills just playing with wreckless abandonment. We expected to lose fast and ended up winning like that lol.
