I thought he was funny. It was the crowd that made it akward. They just sat there in silence. Again, this is the same crowd that would blow the roof off at any mention of Miami. I think its because they just didn't know who he was, because they rabidly cheered the other more popular celebrities even when they bombed horribly. MTV should never go back to Miami again, but then again I don't really give a shit about MTV.

What the hell were you watching? He BOMBED. He was like some bad Star Search comedian trying to shove as many "jokes" into a two minute spot as possible. Besides the material sucking, his delivery was awful too.

He might be better in a different setting .. but he bombed on that stage.

I just think I hate Miami as a location for this show. New York was way better.

Was her ass some sort of great secret? That's the 1st thing I noticed during her American Idol run. That's the 1st thing anyone should notice when looking at her.

Does anyone know where I can get a clip of Paulina Rubio throwing Lil' Jon arm away? :lol Help me GAF! MIMIC, anyone?

Last night a friend of mine was here and I was forced to watch the first half of the VMAs. Well...I was playing Pac-Man arrangement alot of the time, she didn't like that one bit. But anyways, I am surprised people are disappointed in the show. I mean, it is MTV. What do you expect from them? Good entertainment. I heard about the 50 diss of Fat Joe, and saw the Fat Joe comment that set him off. I don't fault 50 at all, Fat Joe should have just let it go for one freaking night. I mean, you didn't see Green Day calling out The Killers or anything. That was one night that was celebrating mainstream music and for one night everyone could have just got along or just agree to ignore each other.

I am not in the "Kanye is god" camp at all, but seeing the contrast in how he handles himself and how 50 and Joe choose to handle themselves is eye-opening. It is kind of like Joe felt like he needed to get back in the public eye outside of NYC, so he had to pull a stunt to get the rivalry going again. But after all that said, beefs like that are entertaining, lol.

DVR/TIVO is a wonderful thing.

I watched it today and was able to fast forward through all the endless commercials and painful momements (and there was plenty). Us west coast folk don't get the show live anyway. However seeing Paulina Rubio diss Lil Jon made it all worthwhile! :lol

She's probably a prude, but it was great seeing Lil Jon get a figurative pie in the face in front of all his peers and millions of viewers.

I'm glad Common got to be a presenter (and he looked really happy to be there). However his freestyle was a little weak. I've seen him do better. Maybe he was nervous.

50 cent is total garbage. That live performace was pathetic. His lyrics have zero substance, I really don't get his appeal. 5-10 years from now he'll be looked back on as a "trend" or "fad" artist who had some good radio hooks but not much else.

To be fair, it did sound like MTV muted out the audience a bit.

But yeah, he deserved more for that.

:lol That was hilarious. Puffy dangling that watch over them was like dangling meat over a shark tank.

I'm surprised no one jumped up and took his arm off.

Yeah right, he gave his watch to one of his undercover croonies. By now it's already back in the safe at P. Diddly Manor.

If it was legit, he would have tossed his watch into the crowd.

those watches are like $10K. A lot to the rest of us, but that ain't shit to PDiddy and MTV. If he had just thrown it into the crowd, it could have caused a riot.
