I have rejected the new database for a number of reasons.
I felt it left Spain as the overpowered team in the game, and I don't want that. Other top teams such as England, Brazil & France were made slower but Spain remained at the same speed and as a result became way too good comparatively.
Equally Ivory Coast & Nigeria need to be slowed down so they have been sent back for more work.
I liked the new strength increase for weak nations, it allows them to compete with the better teams but generally fail due to not being technically good enough and missing chances when they are created.
The two Korean nations need to be stronger, as they can put themselves about a bit. So they have been sent back for some work in the gym!
For individual players, I want Messi to be stronger to keep him on his feet more and Drogba to be weaker so he's less of a bulldozer.
Ultimately the update should make the game more competitive when playing top teams vs weaker teams and also it should be a little slower.
Another update once I have a new db to test.
For anyone fed up with waiting, we never promised a date, we said we were aiming for a date, but I want the feel to be as good as possible rather than rushing it out as soon as possible.
Cheers.
Update: Thurs Jun 10th
I've rejected it again, SORRY!
Once more I felt it was going to leave certain teams overpowered and lead to them always being used online.
The changes needed are far less this time though, and so a new db should be with me again today for testing.
We have to get this out very soon in any case, since Story of the Finals needs the new players for it to be able operate. Otherwise we won't be able to create a scenario to mimic Buddle scoring the winner against England arf arf.
Well... we'll have to wait just a bit more for the update...
