Fuck.
On the doubles final, one of the teams wins a point (yes the referee didn't see this so he gave them the point) with a LEG half voley. Ball hits guy's leg, lands in on the other side... Obviously the other team saw the ball hit the leg. But because of the angle the ref didn't see, so nothing comes out of talking to him. They ask the team directly if the guy hit the ball with his racket. He basically says nothing. What a fucking sportsmanship right there. Wow.
They got a break point out of it nd are now up 6-2, 5-2.
Eit: Nilbog can probably can explain this better than me. They won 6-2, 6-2 just now btw.
Manics said:What's with all the Federer hate? Haters like Mimic love to kick now that he's down and claim he's always been a sore loser but that's total BS. When you interview any player right after a loss there's a sense of frustration there and it shows through. Don't give me this crap that Nadal has always been a gracious loser in post match interviews, remember Soderling at the French? Sure Fed was upset but his comments were bang on, the shot Djokovic made was a total chance on match point it could have easily lost the match for him.
Teetris said:Eurosport replayed the last few games from Fed/Joker and I finally saw the matchpoint return. I can definitely see that it wasn't all luck, maybe 30-40% at best, because he still had to take that step to the right. It's basically just an amazing reflex from what I could follow. It was damn fast and I was even prepared for it to come. It was at the right place at the right time (time being in milliseconds).
If I was Nole I'd thank my lucky stars because if it was me there I'd say divine intervention was at play and helped change the match around during that exact point.

He doesn't go for winners on those % points won. Nobody normally does. If a player tried for a winner on each return he'd get run off the court because more often then not you won't make the shot. Normally the men just block the serve back. Sure he's won 36% of first serves back which means he's lost 64% of the points. It's no stretch to say he was lucky that the all out attempt at a winner worked.chuckddd said:He's the luckiest guy on earth. Imagine what would happen if he worked hard, like Federer.
but it's also a product of thousands of hours of practice and experience, unlike what Fed said. it's amazing that he said he never tried to play that way, as if he's never been in a completely defensive position and relied on reflex or instinct to flick the ball back across the court.Manics said:He doesn't go for winners on those % points won. I agree with you. I think Fed SHOULD take more risks like that. The last few years he seems to be way too conservative the way he plays. Always going to the slice backhand during rallys, not going for winners at key times. Maybe it's a mental thing with his approach to the game and when he sees someone else go for an outright winner when he's facing match point he doesn't understand that mentality cause its too risky in his mind. I don't think his post match interview shows he's a sore loser though.scorcho said:but it's also a product of thousands of hours of practice and experience, unlike what Fed said. it's amazing that he said he never tried to play that way, as if he's never been in a completely defensive position and relied on reflex or instinct to flick the ball back across the court.
