Oh please. Nadal has done the same thing for years. The only top player that doesn't pull these shenanigans with the trainer is Fed.

And for what is worth, I think he really needed the medical timeout.

He's not injured. He pulled the same trick in Montreal.

Djokovic retired from a match after being up 2 sets to 1. He doesn't fake....or at least that would lend come credence to the fact that he doesn't

Also, is he taking injury time out? he keeps getting it on the change overs. Or am I wrong?

Nope. He's only taken one extended injury timeout. The other time was between sets and a quick rub-down at the change over.

This is one of the strangest matches I've seen in a long time.

He's not injured. He pulled the same trick in Montreal.

rofl...acting injured and losing a lead in the third so he can play another set?

Awesome trick that is!

4-1*, Djoker

Djoker's strategy: lay in the 1st serve, hit to a corner, sneak in, smash the overhead. Nadal is slicing relentlessly (and doing absolutely nothing with the return of serve) that it's a sure fire plan

Nadal is so smart standing 15 feet to return. It's like he's innocent, thinking out of nowhere Djokovic will serve like he did in the first two sets

He didn't look injured until he was badly losing in the tiebreak. Maybe he really has some back problem, but I really doubt it's serious considering his play in the 4th set. I think it was a strategy to slow down Nadal.

perhaps there was a reason why he lost the tiebreak, then?
