NO ONE ESCAPES THE WRATH OF THE FIREFLY

the_firefly_by_aloo81-d7hfkd2.jpg

I don't know if it's just my connection, but the Minus shots take FOREVER to load. Literally everything on the page seemed fine when the Minus shots at the top were still grinding along 40 seconds later.

And I'm still waiting on NOLF to come out so I can play it. ;_;

Minus has been notoriously rotten with load times.

Would you mind sharing how you increased that shadow res by so much? Any other tweaks you can share?

Found the value in Cheat Engine, here is the cheat table:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/rwsrfcwpo5ns5ws/Amazing_Spiderman_2.CT
To use, hook Cheat Engine to the game, then open the .ct file. This window should pop up
ibkrPPKdehsDZB.png

Right click on the address and then choose "Replace with code that does nothing"
Then simply change the value of the Shadowmap Resolution in the main Cheat Engine window.

My HDD broke couple months ago and I lost bunch of save files :( so now I'm replaying the Dragon Age games, all ready done with DAO and all the importable DLC.
Now I'm going through DA2 so I have my save file ready for DAI :)

Here's some Dragon Age 2

Dragon Age 2

I think Varric doesn't care if he hits me cause that arrow came very close. To him Hawke is expendable.

Some of the mustaches and beards in this game look freaking ridiculous, like they're fake or something. This guys stache especially is just hilarious :D

The host you are using doesn't seem to play nice with Gaf's image tagging setup. I recommend looking at the first post in this thread for better hosting alternatives and also the rules about compression.

Oh? I used Postimage.
I reuploaded them now using Picpar which was presented in the first post.

I still haven't played it and I don't feel spoiled at all (I do plan to play it). Tis my $0.02.

Yeah, but it's less rewarding when you reach a new area if you've already seen it a few times before.

Sure, it's on me as well, but I just don't get it. Why not link them instead of embedding them if it's late game areas :/

There's been nothing particularly too spoilery, but there have been some later game areas.

I'd probably argue that anything pre-
castle
is pretty reasonable to post

I'm guessing it's safe to use the freecam mod by now?

It's cheat engine so probably not. I only use it in offline mode.

What do you say to someone who says that there is no reason to force 4k resolutions to a lower resolution monitor? This guy told me that I was wasting my time trying to make my gpu force a 4k signal to my monitor because I couldn't run it at 60fps or higher. I know there is a great reward for doing this because I visit this thread alot and can see the difference in a 1080p pic and one that has been downsampled from 4k or even 8k. This is the reason why I have invested in a 1440p monitor and will be getting a 780 gpu soon.

Your first mistake is trying to explain the benefits of downsampling to someone on reddit. I'm convinced they're willfully ignorant.

Yeah, I wish I wasnt a noob about downsampling cause I would have let him have it. Theres a guy on reddit that had 2fps on crysis 3 at 8k. I think his name is K-putt. He knows what hes doing for sure.

Nothing. You let him live in his own fantasy world.

For someone who is a reddit user, that's a suprising thing to generalize! Everyone is different, some reddit users are total boners, so are some gaf users, so are ~some subset of every group ever~.

I just posted an example comparison for them and if they want to understand more about it or argue it I'll explain the benefits of downsampling.

Since my monitor doesn't allow me downsampling I try adding AA trough RadeonPro.

These two i took with 8x SSAA:

Code:
[img]http://i.picpar.com/poK.png[/img] [img]http://i.picpar.com/roK.png[/img]

These two with SMAA and FXAA:

Code:
[img]http://i.picpar.com/EpK.png[/img] [img]http://i.picpar.com/FpK.png[/img]

My question are the following: Is it possible that the game doesn't "accept" the SSAA from RadeonPro? Because there is clearly to much Aliasing for SS :/ And is there a better solution/way for this game? The screens with SMAA and FXAA look better to me.

Since someone asked above: I really wouldn't use a freecam mod for DS2 online. These all modify values directly in the game's address space, and are thus a lot more invasive and "cheat-like" in their behaviour than even something like GeDoSaTo. Not saying that they will certainly get you banned, but the chance is higher.

Your NOLF shots have prompted me to boot up NOLF2 but I can't seem to get 16:9 working correctly in it, the FOV and mouse sensitivity are way too high and nothing I've done seems to fix the issue. Tried some widescreen mod but that didn't seem to make much of a difference. Have you tried NOLF2 yet?

On a positive note, forcing 8xsgssaa works well without an AA bit.
