Germany, Chile, USA & Italy;
Would get us pumped up from the start. We also have a deep enough squad to avoid tiredness compared to other nations (Spain either have ageing players or those at their first WC, don't think they'll get beyond semis).

My three teams, Chile, France, and the US could potentially be in the same group. It'd be nice to see the three play each other, but it'd suck only having one make it through (or two if the Pot 1 team chokes).

Don't know how I'd rank the three though, France has more technical skill but no desire to win or play as a team (though I'm hoping the game against Ukraine is not a one-off thing and means things are changing on that front). Between Chile and the US, I'd say Chile is more explosive, but a lot less mature, which leads to shit like the 3-3 game against Colombia.

I was headed to Santiago from Valparaíso that day actually, saw the first two goals on the TV at the terminal, and heard the third one as the bus started its engine. Then I got to Santiago 90 minutes later and everyone was all sad in the subway :lol

Its been called "association football" since 1863 to distinguish it from "rugby football".

"Soccer" is shortened version of "association".

"Soccer" is a correct name for what you just call "football".

Anyway on topic, I have ticket to the following games, all at Fortaleza stadium:
14 June D1 - D2
17 June A1 - A3
21 June G1 - G3
24 June C2 - C3
29 June 1B - 2A

So I get to see Brazil play at home in the World Cup!

I hope that Austrlia is another team in the above.

I will be in Rio for the last 11 days, will get to watch the final on the beach with 2m other people, cant wait!

Pulling for my current home (USA!) and my old home (Argentina!). The wife has the same loyalties, just reversed. I hope they don't end up in the same group...would be disastrous for the US.

Anyways, I hope USA wins for hilarious patriotism, Rocky IV gifs, crying eagles, and European meltdowns.

Once every four years I bandwagon hard for Team USA. Looking at this I hope we can get a good group for the World Cup. Preferably North Korea, the Isle of Man, and Guam.

Somehow Mexico is always placed with one strong team and two regular teams, qualify to the next round in second place (I think with the exception of 2002 WC) and lose. So yeah, go Mexico.
