Far more likely for the 3DS than if there had been a virtual handheld on the DSi.Clipper said:Do you expect that said virtual handheld will include the Virtual Boy games?
Even the haters have trouble hating on the 3DS. It's just that good.cw_sasuke said:Not really suprising....
I can make something up if you want?sphinx said:anyone misses stupid stuff like " Aries / Revolution " in regards to the 3DS?
Those Wii rumors send the nintendo hype through the roof back in 2005.
With 3DS everything is so calm and straightforward, it's a bit boring.
I think he was and I believe SkiesofWonder or something was posting stuff in the comments of a random blog from an artist or something.Trurl said:Wasn't Phoenix Dark behind the Aries stuff?
Even better, he's actually doing a show about technology and video games.[Nintex] said:Falafelkid spreads his 'definitive Revolution speculation' bullshit till this day and has a legitimate job at a german TV station on the side.

You're looking for some investment huh?Eteric Rice said:Is the company that's making the graphics chip for the 3DS publicly traded?
No. Looked into it when first rumors appeared that a Japanese company would supply the GPU.Eteric Rice said:Is the company that's making the graphics chip for the 3DS publicly traded?

But you're right, it's weird that there are hardly any rumors, especially after all the E3 hype. Nintendo seems to be a lot more careful this time as well. There are next to no hints at the usual places - no job listings, CVs, announcements or slips from middleware providers...
3DSC: Do you plan on making any FPS for the 3DS?
JW: Yes, we definitely plan on making a First-Person Shooter for the 3DS. Time will tell whether it becomes a reality or not.
3DSC: Could we see a sequel to Dementium II on the 3DS?
JW: Yes, we could.
3DSC: Do you believe that hardcore games will be able sell more on the 3DS than they do on the DS?
JW: Yes, I do. Nintendo are making a conscious effort to provide hardcore gamers with an excellent selection of 3DS titles, such as Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil. It is no secret that the majority of the DS audience is younger or more casual players, and it seems evident that Nintendo want to expand upon that audience and attract more hardcore players to their new handheld.
3DSC: Do you think Nintendo has binned friend codes for the 3DS?
JW: I dont know, but I wouldnt be surprised if theyre still used to maintain security.

The real challenge will be cracking the Touch generation market again.AceBandage said:That might be underselling it.
If Nintendo can tap both current markets (the DS/Wii market and the PS3/360 market) with this thing, it's going to become it's own classification.
Willy105 said:More. Why should the 3DS aim for so low when the DS beat it?
SNES > PS2Gravijah said:I see the DS as more on the PS1/SNES scale. PS2 is the king of variety and third party games for me.

EvilDick34 said:Guys, has it been reported yet that there is a price cut coming for the current DS systems? If not, consider this post as a heads up ;-).
AceBandage said:Yeah, they announced it last week. Both the DSi and the XL are getting $20 price cuts.
Doesn't mean it's not a challenge ;PAceBandage said:I'm sure Nintendo has a few things up its sleeves that will really draw in that crowd using the 3D.
They've been fairly consistent this generation with that.
I feel it's really important to bring new games. Nintendogs will be a hit, but they'll want people to keep buying and get new people in.Relaxed Muscle said:I always had the feeling that Nintendo was keeping the Nintendogs sequel under his sleeve for the DS succesor....and I was right, Nintendogs 3DS will crack the Touch market the same way the first did for DS.
The same goes to the GB/GBC & GBA if you think about it.Gravijah said:The PS2 of handhelds.

I'm quoting this so that you can never pretend that you didn't post it.Serenade said:These next few weeks will be more agonizing than child birth
and i mean like if you were having a really fat baby. worse than that. like really really fat. and your vagina is really small. like you couldn't even get a finger in there small. actually, smaller than that. maybe like the top part of a sewing needle small. yeah, that small. oh and you have to take a poop too. so like, you were in labor and the doctor's head is between your legs and your vagina's really small and you really have to poop but you don't want poop in the doctors face and get the smell all in the room and stuff and the nurses will leave because it smells so bad and you have nobody's hand to squeeze when you squeeze that really fat baby through your microscopic vagina hole. yeah.
yeah it's gonna be that bad guys.

My Top 5 biggest crimes in the Pre-launch stages of the 3DS
.- No castle(Iga)vania in the horizon. This is just BS.
.- No FXIII spin-off announced, not even an agito port or something.
.- Metroid Dread STILL unveiled!! WTF.
.- No PSP enhanced ports (Ultimate G&G, Dissida, etc.) announced
.- No revival of the Mana franchise in sight, bah.
there, 5 reasons why 3DS prelaunch phase sucks ass.
Considering how certain publishers only received the dev kits two months before the E3, I'm not surprised with the little we've seen at E3.sphinx said:Quick, lets talk about something to forget how long we'll wait til we get news about 3DS.
