If Nintendo fixes the L and R buttons (I think they did for the DSi) then I wouldn't mind playing some FPS's on it.

They didn't, by the way. The L button on my DSi seems to work about half the time.

Speaking of, is there any reason why a screen protector might distort the image on the top screen? I tend to get screen protectors on pretty quickly but dont know if it would have any affect. From what I understand of the tech I dont imagine it would but..
I'm not sure, but while I always put a protector on the touch screen, I've never bothered with the top screen. It's protected while the DS is closed (obviously) and when it's open there's no reason to touch it, so. Once in a great while I just wipe some dust or random spots off of it.

Just remembered something:

Actually, I answered differently, and it may have been misinterpreted. What I wanted to say was, looking at the Wii, I think No More Heroes 2 will probably be the last iteration for this current platform. But there's probably going to be a "Wii 2" or other next-gen system from Nintendo at some point, so I was saying that I would want to do another game in the series on the next Nintendo platform.

I want to continue the No More Heroes series, but I've finished the story for Travis. It's completely finished in No More Heroes 2. So I want to think of a different story -- a different character, or something like that within the series -- starting on the next Nintendo platform.

It really makes me feel the speed at which the history of video games is unfolding -- like, 'We've really made it this far, huh?' You have a living, breathing world you can touch right in your hands. I think we've finally gone from an era of constructing virtual worlds from pixels to one where the world is truly, honestly there. If I had to sum up the sort of game I'd like to make, I would simply call it 'the next game,' because the 3DS marks the arrival of the 'next platform'.

No More Heroes 3(D). the main characters are Shinobu and Henry
and Holly Summers <3

with the touchscreen for directional slashes :O

I saw the DoA: Dimensions scans. looks better than the screens we got at E3 (and with no jaggies). according to duckroll, the game is produced by Yosuke Hayashi. for better or worse.

I don't like how they added hit sparks and I still can't tell if this game is a remake. probably is though :\

It's hard to tell from that blurry scan but what you can make out definitely looks much improved over the E3 shots. Looking forward to seeing it in motion.

I kind of hated the Ninja Gaiden DS control scheme.

I liked. I mean, I'd rather get buttons, but they work great. Unfortunately, they game got so cheap in Master Ninja at the last level. Tried it for days and I just could't get through it.

they aren't perfect, but I was surprised how well it worked, how intuitive and fast was to control Ryu, I don't think Itagaki lied when he said Ryu on DS was the fastest Ryu in the whole Saga...yeah, they need a bit work here and there (more moves will be nice), but they have a lot of potential...

blurry scan? You saw the 1 page small scan or the 2 pages big scan?

I tried the demo, the control scheme was fantastic. The thing I didn't like was the pre-rendered backgrounds. A single camera angle made it hard.

I still find it hard to accept that Nintendo is putting out a handheld with some really great graphics. I won't believe it until it's in my hands. :lol

it's probably gonna end up failing since nintendo is incapable of making games with good graphics

Holy Moly!!!! I just saw what DoA on the 3DS looks like.

That is freaking amazing, it is way above the Dreamcast graphics that I was expecting :o

If this is the best they can make, then I'm not impressed.

well, it used to be a DS game :lol Nintendogs + Cats looks better and with fur shading. I guess KI counts? maybe Nintendo put their people on the game since Sora only had 2 employees

How exactly would that work, considering the imbalance between the two screens and the fact that 3DS physically does not support book mode?

What are we, still three weeks away from the conference? Damn, any chance we get more screens like the DoA ones beforehand?

Gravijah said:
wow that looks like a sega saturn game, so bad
yeah they had it lying around for like 6 years and I guess a week before e3 somebody thought it was a good idea to make the line-up look buffier.

I imagine we'll get a few more tidbits during TGS, but not much more than that. The 29th ought to be a downright blitz of screenshots, trailers, and new game announcements, at least.

it supports book mode (just no 3D). but I was thinking some thing like the touchscreen controlling the direction of the slashes.

I don't think the DC had textures that good.

That would probably work, but it wouldn't actually be that comparable to Dragon Sword (since you'd still be controlling Ryu in a more conventional manner with the slider pad or button inputs). And yes, I know 3DS can display 2D games in book mode, but that's just splitting hairs; no publisher will want to release a game that doesn't support 3DS' most hyped feature.

Scans look about on par with DoA3. Pretty impressed so far. Can't wait to see some in-game footage though and if it's running at 60FPS. I just hope the d-pad doesn't suck with this and Street Fighter.

Especially for a first gen title. I think when its finished it will look better than DoA3.
